Ed Wright: 'Celebrity Family Trees'

In the future, it will be difficult to keep tabs on who’s who in Hello! world. The rich and famous are getting together and breeding ever more strangely-named youngsters solely so they can keep us amused with their tabloid antics when they hit their formative years.

This book helps keep a handle on tangled celebrity connections. It’s a recommended guilty pleasure, but as well as covering the likes of the Hiltons, it includes those of historical note such as the Hemingways and the Churchills. And also, bizarrely, the Hitler family, whose final descendents have chosen not to have children so that the name dies with them. A small mercy then – we’re to be spared the horror of ‘Pomegranate Hitler’ stumbling out of a nightclub into the pages of Heat magazine.
