CBeebies: The Ultimate Christmas Collection

A nifty little compilation for the young ones here, as the BBC have gathered up some of their most popular CBeebies shows and put them on one handy disc in time for inclusion on Christmas present wish lists.

Taking ten of the channel's most watched programmes and presenting a seasonal themed episode of each, we find ourselves in very familiar company meeting a whole host of our favourite characters from the world of pre-school TV. These ten stories are traditional seasonal fare with the usual mix of adventures, problems to overcome and most of all fun and games to enjoy. The only difference is the festive slant each episode has, be it Roly Mo and his friends encountering a very cold time indeed, to Lunar Jim experiencing a Lunar Winter, all are pure entertainment from start to finish and will surely appeal to fans who wonder how their favourites cope during the period.

It's also a neat idea to not put out a fully animated disc and include live action shows alongside the padded suit wearing, puppet and more traditional cartoon ones. Including madcap and cute stories from the likes of Lazytown, The Tweenies, Fimbles and the wonderful colourful Balamory pantomime in the mix makes this a wide-ranging title that although limited in its saleability in other seasons will undoubtedly keep the avid viewers entertained well into the new year. At three hours in duration with each show in full and offering the mass appeal it does, it's hard to beat this values for money stocking filler that will easily keep a few full of Christmas dinner adults glued to the screen also.
