In The Night Garden: Hello Igglepiggle
In recent times, In The Night Garden has leaped ahead to become one of the BBC's most popular pre-school specific series. Taking a modern approach to nursery rhyme fare, the series resides in a magical land filled with recognisable characters that live within a warm and caring community.
The day to day tales are lifted with rhymes, music and beautiful visuals that promise to lure agitated children into a state of blissful calm.
Following on from the release of ‘Who’s Here’, an initial collection of episodes, we now have another future best-seller in the form of Hello Igglepiggle. The five episodes included revolve around Igglepiggle and his best friend Upsy Daisy, as they confront the traumas of young life (lost blankets, muck, lack of jumping abilities etc). The episodes are soothing and non-taxing on their own, but with the DVD extra of a ‘Nap Time’ mode (allowing the viewer to end their chosen episode with an extra calming ending), the adventures of Igglepiggle and co are positively therapeutic. For big and little kids alike, this is as perfect for your hangover as it is for your younger relatives.
Extras: ‘Goodnight Everyone’ character icons, Audio Commentary and a special ‘Nap Time’ mode.
Released 5th November 2007 by BBC Worldwide.
