  • Conan (Xbox 360)

Fantastically voiced by Ron Pearlman, Conan has the body of Schwartzenegger, the swagger of a wrestler and the comic book banter of The Hulk. He has only two things on his mind, sex and violence.

  • Deal Or No Deal Family Challenge

Deal Or No Deal is one of the few new TV game-show success stories of the last five years and it's therefore no surprise that this second Interactive DVD version arrives coincidentally with few shopping days left until Christmas. The premise is simple; a lone player must pick one of 22 suitcases which they believe to hold £250,000.

  • Poirot: After The Funeral

It’s Christmas cash-in season and this year that means an influx of DVD games for each and every gameshow and TV show in existence - some good, some bad and some very ropey indeed. Thankfully this is firmly in the good category, verging on very good, with David Suchet, the man who portrays the Belgin sleuth so perfectly on TV, fronting this DVD game in full character.

  • World Championship Poker 2 (PSP)

As any casino will probably tell you, poker is a very addictive game and as if to prove it I found myself playing this game over and over for no apparent reason. With a nice selection of playing tables, located around the globe from your very own customisable basement, to a London boxing gym, to a tropical hotel, you can play more varieties of poker than I knew existed.

  • Stuntman Ignition (PS3)

Set across six entertainingly themed movies, you take the role of a Hollywood stunt driver and take the wheel of over 25 vehicles including motorbikes, trucks, muscle cars and hovercrafts to perform some of the most insane stunt known to man.

  • Chronos Twin (Nintendo DS)

Ever tried to play two platform games at once? Probably not unless you've got a couple of extra arms. Well, that's what Chronos Twin is all about. With a neat use of the Dual-Screen our hero has been simultaneously split between two time periods in order to defeat a time travelling alien invader - the present on the top screen and the past on the bottom.

  • Ratatouille (PS2)

This simple minded platformer, loosely based on the plot of the current Pixar movie, sees gastronomically-gifted rat Remy on a journey through Paris. With great voice acting offered from the cast of the movie, the characters become instantly likeable. The main game is your usual platform affair with the standard token collecting and puzzle incentives.

  • The Darkness (Xbox 360)

It’s your 21st birthday; your uncle wants to kill you and evil snakes have just sprouted from your shoulders. Hopefully this won’t sound familiar to anyone, but to Jackie Estacado - mafia mover and shaker with silky locks and a voice that could smelt iron - it’s something that has to be taken in stride.

  • Destroy All Humans! (PS2)

A nice twist on the alien invasion scenario, Destroy All Humans! sees you taking the role of a psychotic four-foot Jack-Nicholson-sounding alien called Crypto.

  • Conspiracy: Weapons Of Mass Destruction (PS2)

Imagine, if you will, playing Goldeneye for the first time on the N64. Now picture yourself seven years later wondering how the hell someone had managed to make a new game that is worse in every way!
