Destroy All Humans! (PS2)
A nice twist on the alien invasion scenario, Destroy All Humans! sees you taking the role of a psychotic four-foot Jack-Nicholson-sounding alien called Crypto.
Having a free roam over five large environments on foot or in your flying saucer, the main missions involve observing the human race with your holographic cloaking device and of course annihilating them with a fantastic array of B-movie weapons which include a painful Anal Probe and the awesome Zap-o-matic.
You progress through the levels by collecting DNA, which you harvest from human brain stems psychically torn from your victims exploding heads. The quickest way to gain DNA is to complete the side missions, sadly they come in only two varieties, checkpoint race and killing sprees, so they get boring very quickly. The cheesy 50's B-grade science fiction style has been captured perfectly, in every aspect of design and sound effects, making the whole thing a hugely enjoyable experience. Although the gameplay can get a little tiresome after a few hours, the non-stop comedy is spot on and keeps you wanting to come back for more.
