Excite Truck (Wii)
Ah, finally a decent game for the Wii that doesn't rely on endless mini games to keep you hooked. Using the controller's in-built tilt sensor as a steering wheel, you're in for an eye-blistering ride of big air, mega boosts and stunts that puts more serious racing games back in their boxes.
Seriously, you can't blink and play this game at the same time; it should come with a prescription of eye drops! Coming in first place isn't that difficult - then you realise that your finishing position means nothing. All that counts is how insane a driver you are.
Once you've mastered the different ways of getting stars and turbos, rewarded for landing, air time, drift and stunts, you'll be well on your way to hitting those S grades. Only let down by the Wii's weaker tech specs, the graphics don't stand up to its next gen rivals. But the Wii's not about mind blowing graphics. It's all about having fun, and this game is loaded with it!
