Various Artists: 'Kitsune Maison Volume 7'

This is Kitsune’s seventh compilation album of remixed tracks and, despite the presence of household names La Roux and Phoenix, there are many stylish new bands.

The Kitsune folks haven't changed direction for this latest collection and you can expect European electro music that will put you and your neighbours in a good mood - yes, this is an album to be played LOUD.

Crystal Fighters present ‘Xtatic Truth’, a song with encouraging lyrics and impressive kinetics that can move and shake the air you breathe. It kind of brings back memories from '90s dance hits and bands like ATB, except significantly cooler and very now. Autocratz give us ‘Always More’, remixed by Yuksek. An upbeat mix with a robotic feel, thanks to its electronic vocals and mechanic beats, luckily it never reaches a point where it becomes annoying.

James Yuill’s ‘This Sweet Love’ starts off with Glass Candy beats, but turns out to be very atmospheric and is perfect to chillax to. His voice is appropriate, simple and calming - this is just really sweet stuff. Chew Lips are the London band everyone is talking about and it's not hard to see why with their track ‘Solo’. Heartsrevolution present a song entitled ‘Untitled’ and, while it is arguably pretty cheesy, in reality it's really quite cute.

Kitsuse Maison have never disappointed and this compilation is no exception. Stylish, sensual and refreshing, make this the soundtrack to your summer.
