• Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst announces new solo album

  Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst will release his new solo album on 4th August 2008 on Wichita Recordings, his first solo album in thirteen years.

   
• Dirty Pretty Things on tour in May

  Dirty Pretty Things have announced a twelve-date tour of the UK, commencing in Glasgow on 14th May 2008. This is the bands first tour since their sold out dates in December 2007, which included two nights at London’s Brixton Academy.

   
• Alphabeat release new single '10,000 Nights'

  After spending three weeks (and counting) in the Top 10 with 'Fascination', Alphabeat will return with new single '10,000 Nights' on 19th May (digital) and 26th May (physical), ahead of the release of their debut album 'This Is Alphabeat' on 2nd June 2008.

  Ahead of the release new album '2' on V2/Cooperative Music next month, Semifinalists will be keeping themselves very busy on the live front, unveiling their new tunes over numerous live performances in London and and further afield.

   
• Dirty Pretty Things return with 'Romance At Short Notice' album

  Dirty Pretty Things follow up their debut 'Waterloo To Anywhere' with new album, 'Romance At Short Notice', through Vertigo Records on 30th June 2008. A single, 'Tired Of England', will be released one week earlier on 23rd June 2008.

   
• Guns N’ Roses Greatest Hits re-released for Father's Day

  The Guns N’ Roses Greatest Hits album, will be re-released in the UK on 2nd June 2008, especially for Father’s Day, as it’s most definitely the only album of choice for any serious rockfather.

   
• The Pigeon Detectives cancel gigs after injury

  The Pigeon Detectives have been forced to cancel two shows in Ireland this week due to singer Matt Bowman injuring himself on stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Maidstone.

   
• The Rascals on tour in May/June

  The Rascals are back with another single and a tour of the UK. ‘Freakbeat Phantom’, produced by Ben Hillier (Blur, The Horrors, Doves), will be released on 2nd June 2008.

   
• Bush's Gavin Rossdale to release solo album

  Former lead singer of Bush, Gavin Rossdale, will release 'Wanderlust', his first ever solo album on 9th June 2008, preceded by a single, 'Love Remains The Same', on 2nd June 2008.

   
• The Blakes to support The Wombats on tour

  US trio The Blakes return to the UK this month for dates with The Wombats and a couple of shows in the capital. The band will be previewing their debut eponymous album set for release on 14th July 2008.
