Greg, who has been with Radio 1 since 2007, is presenting digital television's Red Button coverage along with Jo Whiley. He will also be on air at noon each day as the gates open and 40,000 music fans come rushing in

What is your favourite Big Weekend memory?

"Sneaking up to the one in Preston before I was signed to Radio 1 and wandering around just thinking 'this is amazing' – Radio 1 in those little studios in London puts this on! Then, the following year I was introducing bands on the main stage as a proper Radio 1 DJ – I will never forget it."

What do you expect to see when you open the gates?

"The very excited, very happy people of Swindon – loads of screaming fans desperate to get a good spot at the front of the tent."

Which artists are you most looking forward to seeing in Swindon?

"Maximo Park, Maximo Park, Maximo Park... The Wombats, Snow Patrol (I've never seen them) and Calvin Harris."

What are people going to get when they press the Red Button?

"Something funny, I can promise that. I've never done anything like it with Jo Whiley before so who knows? We'll have fun though, and Jo is lovely so it will all be fine."
