Young Guns: 'Winter Kiss'

“This winter kiss has left me poisoned”, groans Gustav Wood.

He is expressing a delicate balance of male paranoia and lonely lust for the unknown; in other words, precisely the kind of emotion that is so hard to articulate if you are a young fan of a heavy rock that never departs too far from the parameters you demand from it. True to form, this is a dull formulaic pounding that evokes only the desire to switch off.
