Lethal Bizzle feat. Donaeo: ‘Go Hard’

Lethal Bizzle’s fondness for repeating his own name sits uncomfortably alongside the paucity of words that rhyme with “Bizzle” in the English language. Rather than rethinking his lyrical game plan, the East London MC returns to action without making any notable changes to the formula that’s seen him gain a decent following in his home city.

So, whilst Lethal B’s wordplay doesn’t stray from simple braggadocio on this taster from his forthcoming third album, the good news is that the incessant energy and pounding bass of his previous work remains. ‘Go Hard’ sees producer Donaeo mesh distorted horns with a classic breakbeat rhythm to great effect, leaving us with a grimy head-nodder of a tune that will please existing fans if not convert the sceptical.
