Multimedia project Ditto to be streamed online

Ditto is a one-off collaboration between some top names in music, film and writing.

The project brings together over 20 newly commissioned pieces of visual art, with accompanying original soundtracks, delivered in a mixture of live and pre-recorded performance and a free online broadcast. As an added hook the performance will never be repeated. There is just one performance, which is streamed live, and then all the work is deleted!

Here is a teaser of one of the works…

Ditto will be performed live as a multimedia performance from London’s Roundhouse, Dr. Martens FREEDM Studio on Saturday May 16th from 7:30pm, but also broadcast online for free online at ditto.tv!

The artists take their inspiration from iconic pieces of literature to create new works in film, music and performance art. With literary references including Charles Darwin, William Blake and er, Dolly Parton.

The musical side includes many internationally renowned musicians and producers including Sander Kleinenberg, Rolando Rocha, Fluke / 2BIT, Richard Norris (Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve), John Hendicott, Bruno Dias and James Gillespie (aka Scope).

Some of the talented film and visual artists who have created film and animation elements include: Barry Gibb (filmmaker of C4’s acclaimed ‘Routes’ series), Flawless Media, Swedish filmmaker Andreas Pousette, Higher Ground and Cian Murchu (Legend United) and many more.

Also not to be missed will be a ditto-inspired installation by international artist Ellie Noble (Orchid House). The grand finale will be a performance by Phantom of the Opera star Maria Kesselman. Look out for more events from ditto at Latitude and The Big Chill.
