The Work Of Director Jonathan Glazer

Following on from last year’s must-own anthologies of work by Spike Jonze, Michel ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Gondry and Chris Cunningham, the Directors Label have put together another fine batch, including this collection of music promos and commercials by Jonathan Glazer. Best known for directing Ray Wintstone in gangster flick Sexy Beast, British-born Glazer is the man behind such iconic ads as the Guinness surfing horses - “tick followed tock”, etc. The collection’s highlight, however, is his video for Radiohead’s 1995 single Street Spirit; a black and white slow-mo masterpiece that still retains its headfuck status after multiple repeat viewings.
