Muse: 'Absolution'

A rather belated DVD release for the trio’s spectacular performance at Glastonbury in June 2004, this goes someway towards easing the agonising wait for their fourth album, due this spring. The Main Stage set was one of the highlights of the 18-month Absolution tour, with epic renditions of live favourites Butterflies And Hurricanes, Plug In Baby and Time Is Running Out amongst the twelve songs. Also included are live highlights from the band’s gigs in Los Angeles, London and San Diego. One small complaint would be the lack of surround sound audio, somewhat de rigueur for concert DVDs these days and utterly essential for a band as consciously grandiose as Muse.
