Scissor Sisters: 'Hurrah, A Year Of Ta-Dah'

This stacked DVD represents a year in the life of the Scissor Sisters, from the release of their (slightly disappointing) second album 'Ta-Dah' to their memorable headlining gigs in July 2007 at the newly opened former-Millennium Dome, the O2 Arena.

Capturing the energy of the live experience (so hard to do well in the recorded medium), this not only includes the aforementioned O2 outing, but also a one hour documentary, all videos of the singles that have been released from 'Ta-Dah' and an acoustic concert. However, there is one irrefutable issue with the band live, and that's that Jake Shears is the only one singing. Ana Matronic's mic is turned down so low that any noise that she makes is never properly captured and, though an obvious addition to the stage presence of the group, you can't help but feeling short changed. This is most obvious in the acoustic concert, especially in the mid-song banter. That aside, the DVD represents an essential addition for even the most fair-weather Scissor fan and considerable value for money.

Extras: Full videos and documentary.

Released 12th November 2007 by Universal Music.
