The Wave Pictures
A brand new signing to Moshi Moshi, The Wave Pictures make jangly psychedelic indie pop, perfect to mend a broken heart and fall in love to all over again. Their recent residency at the George Tavern was a rousing success, bringing this three-piece out of their sleepy hometown of Wymeswold into the bright lights of London and glowing reviews from Drowned in Sound amongst others. Wave Pictures are set to release a follow up to recent single 'We Dress Up Like Snowmen' in February, plus a new album to follow.
Slow Club
Slow Club are two kids hailing from Sheffield, who came together as a band in their gap year (only a year ago). Citing Leonard Cohen, Rod Stewart and “show tunes” as influences, childhood friends Charles and Becky mine a musical seam all of their own, churning up a joyous and absolutely individual blend of pop, folk, and rockabilly as they go. 2008 witnesses the release of their debut album, so keep your eyes peeled for more info on the northern White Stripes.
