Silent Film Project: 'Two Days'

Silent Film Project are a Sheffield five-piece, with an irrepressibly cheerful note that runs against the grain of UK guitar rock. The momentum of this song exists entirely in its fringes, painted out by the excellent guitar flourishes of Tom Dakin, and anticipates the movement toward fragile sunny pop recently pushed by Vampire Weekend.

This is a rare boldness in a young British band, and while B-side 'Good People' is a little more predictable and inconsequential, both tracks are remarkable for a group at this stage in their career.
