James Pants: 'We’re Through'

I can only assume James Pants was taking advice from his four year old brother when deciding upon his artistic name - I certainly hope for his sake that he doesn’t feel obliged to keep it for too long.

With his single, 'We’re Through', I cant imagine he’ll have too much to be remembered by under this guise; a drunkenly meandering synth bass line fails to create much of a recognizable hook and the series of bleeps and plinky plonky electro sound effects in the background seem to offer nothing more but a distraction from the bored-sounding vocals. The 80s soul feel that he almost succeeds in conjuring up is, however, in some ways refreshing and partially exonerates the blame for this very average track.

Released on 21st April 2008 by Stonesthrow.
