Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly: 'Keep Singing Out'
The new single from indie wonder boy Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly (aka Sam Duckworth), 'Keep Singing Out' is an uplifting ballad for the underdog who is being kept down by Society’s closed-mindedness and the constraints of the Mainstream.
Uplifting this tune certainly is - relentlessly so in fact. Jam-packed with kitschy electronic twittering, a brightly polished brass band and a smattering of cheeky drum and bass beat, this is an insanely cheerful torch song for the downtrodden.
Considering that he made his leap to stardom in roughly two years, what this 21-year-old songster would know about a drawn-out, frustrated struggle from beyond obscurity (as opposed to a relatively quick bounce straight to the gilded leaves of the NME) one can’t hope to speculate…
In any event, carry on clambering, o ye at the bottom of the heap – if you keep singing out, success may be as easy as it's been for young Sam here.
