The Notwist: ‘Where In This World’

Following six years in the musical wilderness and a career that has spanned countless genres and embraced musical trends in a manner that is nothing short of sluttish, The Notwist return with new single ‘Where In This World’.

Their genre du jour on this occasion is of a vaguely electro ilk, however it doesn’t seem that this passage of their musical development has been particularly worthwhile. A skittish stringed introduction begins interestingly enough, but is quickly watered down to a pale electro beat, looming synthesizers and a bored sounding vocal that could send you to sleep for all the wrong reasons.
