The Feeling to release ‘Join With Us’ single
The Feeling are set to release ‘Join With Us’, the title track from their No 1 album, as a single digitally on 8th September 2008 and on 7” coloured vinyl and CD on 15th September.
The promo video for ‘Join With Us’ was shot on Wednesday 16th July as part of a 24-hour challenge set by Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen on their Capital Radio Breakfast show - creating a music video from the drawing board to the small screen in just 24 hours.
The Feeling, together with music video director Caswell Coggins, developed, shot and edited the video in just 24 hours, something not done since 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles became the first music video aired on MTV in 1981. The resulting promo is a very English piece of film that looks like ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ filmed by Lindsay Anderson.
Dan Gillespie Sells, lead singer for The Feeling comments, “We’re always looking to try new things and experiment. The 24 Hour Challenge was pretty daunting but we had a fantastic time and we’re delighted with the result.”
‘Join With Us’ is also the soundbed to the current Toyota “Arius” TV commercial.
After their final festival appearances of the year at Clumber Park and V, The Feeling will star in the London Olympic Handover Celebrations in The Mall in London on Sunday 24th August.
