The Real Housewives Of Orange County: Season One
The women of this series say it's 'not just a place to live, but a lifestyle', and who can fault that statement. Following the day-to-day lives of five different women living the high life in Southern California, we get our eyes opened as we witness a world where over 80% of the women have breast implants, Botox is a matter of fact thing to get, spoilt children get what they want no matter how much it costs, and MILF's dominate the nightclubs.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is a fly-on-the-wall style show that allows us behind those huge mansion gates to see that having all the money in the world and a champagne lifestyle doesn't always mean you are happy.
Each main character has a different story to tell, from the bored younger woman stuck at home to the former Playboy Playmate who now acts as a multi-million-dollar estate agency business, taking in divorcee business women and just plain housewives along the way. In a world where image, ego and bank balance are everything, it's great to see behind the closed doors of these elite families and that when you peel away the glossy exterior, they are not too far removed from ourselves. After all, that's why we watch shows like this, to see that no one is really that different from us and that we all have problems and obstacles in life that even money cannot help with.
Extras: None.
Release 27th August 2007 by Universal Playback.
