The X Factor - Ten 2010 facts

The X Factor is back for a seventh series, exploding onto screens on Saturday 21st August 2010 on ITV1.
To celebrate the show's return, here's 10 fun facts...
► 14,980 bottles of water were drunk over the audition tour and Bootcamp.
► 38 trolley loads of snacks were consumed by the judges and crew on tour and Bootcamp including 490 chocolate bars eaten by the judges.
► Over 1,500 miles were covered searching for The X Factor winner.
► A total of 72,000 audience members watched auditions in six cities.
► Since the first series almost a million people have applied for The X Factor.
► 896 hours of footage are filmed at the auditions.
► 4,945 pens were used on tour and Bootcamp.
► The judges drank 10 large bottles of water each day and would go through 3 limes a day in their water.
► A total of 8 different judges have decided who cuts it to Bootcamp (Simon, Louis, Cheryl, Pixie, Natalie, Katy, Nicole and Geri).
► The X Factor charity singles have raised over a million and a half pounds in total.
