The Dudesons In America: Episode 1
"No animals were harmed during the filming of The Dudesons." This isn't strictly true, as The Dudesons are themselves absolute animals and, boy, do they get hurt...
Jukka, Jarppi, HP and Jarno are four impossibly fresh-faced Fins following in the footsteps of producer Johnny Knoxville, being the next big thing in reckless self-endangering. The show opens with a heart-stopping stunt putting their predecessors to shame, in which Jarppi stands loosely winched onto a large building as it is violently demolished. No joke.
The rest of the show is what you would expect from a Jackass episode, as our heroes hop barrels, get impaled on nine inch nails, nut-crushed by a splintered banister, dragged by horses and chased by an angry bull. Standard stuff - not as prank-heavy as the Jackass boys and not full of melodramatic screams like the Dirty Sanchez team.
They do add an irreverent sense of friendly competition to the proceedings too. For instance, all the madness and mutilation in this episode is ultimately to decide who gets the best bedroom.
If you miss Jackass and want more, consider this its faithful sequel. By no means is it a wholly original idea, but it’s still rollicking good fun. And they have a pig.
