George refuses to let Peter see Simon, claiming he’s keeping hold of his grandson until he thinks Peter is fit to look after him. How will Peter react? When the police reveal Joe’s body is being released for a funeral it looks like Gail may be in the clear. Carla agrees to a date with Trevor but is less than impressed by Nick’s proposition.

The police are called when Peter and George’s battle for Simon gets out of hand. But who ends up getting arrested? When the police arrive back on the street asking questions about Joe and Gail’s relationship, Gail wonders if this nightmare will ever end. Nick sees potential in Kelly and turning on the charm he asks her out for a drink.

George takes Simon on a day trip to Blackpool. But is this all George has planned for Simon? Nick’s spent the night with Kelly and turning on the charm he asks her if she can get hold of Underworld’s accounts for him. Will she betray Carla? Tina battles her emotions as she visits the chapel of rest with Gail.

When Simon overhears George’s plans for him he makes a bid for freedom. With the 6 year old on the run the Barlows head to Blackpool as a frantic police search begins. When a couple come forward to the police claiming they witnessed Joe and Gail’s last row, they wonder whether they’ve just found the final piece of the jigsaw. John lies to Fiz as he heads out for an interview for the teaching job. But will his past come back to haunt him?

A major police search is underway in Blackpool as Peter desperately looks for Simon. But will he find his son before the night sets in? When the police reveal they have witnesses who saw Gail arguing with Joe on board the boat Gail is forced to defend herself yet again. Nick surprises Carla with a tempting business offer.
