She calls a speechless Charlie for help as she is now in the back of the ‘loot van’! When she reaches a warehouse she calls him again and asks him to come and get her. Feeling guilty Charlie finds her but brings reinforcements in the form of Rob. Rob cynically tells Charlie that Elsie is a bit of a regular, you name it she’s reported it!

Lara is arrested and Elsie proven right all along.
In spite of Immie and Rob’s cynicism Karen insists Jack has a surprise 19th birthday party, however Immie’s ears prick up when Karen mentions inviting Jack’s old friend (and Immie’s first crush) Gaz. At the party the punch gets stronger and stronger, and Cherry and Julia indulge! Naturally Charlie takes the opportunity to stalk Julia but Heston plays protector however Julia still manages to fall into a plant pot!
Jimmi’s evening at the station goes from bad to worse. He tries to send a message to Cherry but is distracted. Back at the party Cherry is disappointed that she has no news from Jimmi, and when Simon goes home early, Cherry says Heston will give her a lift home. Jimmi does manage to leave Cherry a message but Daniel has stolen her phone to take a photo. The gang all leave worse for wear barring Heston! Back at home Milo insists to Iris that it’s all in her head, but it’s clear who wears the trousers in their marriage. He does convince her to go and see her sister as she had planned though, and he’ll keep an eye out. However when Iris returns she sees ‘activity’ behind Maggie’s curtains, and when she hears babies crying she calls Zara and blackmails her into coming over. They enter Maggie’s house to discover her dressed as a nanny and three grown men, including Milo, dressed up as babies! Iris is fuming but Zara sees no harm in it as it’s amongst consenting adults and tells Iris to live a little and Milo to get some backbone. Cherry wakes with a banging hangover and is utterly devastated to find her clothes strewn around the room and Daniel half naked with a wicked grin across his face! Mortified she has no memory of the night before, Daniel teases her by giving nothing away. Cherry’s devastation continues as she bumps into Jimmi as she’s desperately trying to leave the house. He assumes her presence there is innocent until he sees Daniel looking smug. At The Mill Cherry tries to keep her head low and Jimmi chastises Ruth for gossiping. Cherry confides in Simon that she has no memory of what happened, and he tells her she should just ask Daniel. Meanwhile Charlie is probing Daniel for all the gossip and Daniel divulges nothing, but they’re overheard by a fuming Zara and Jimmi.
Later Cherry cautiously approaches Daniel and he’s about to tell her what did or didn’t happen, until he sees her repulsion at the idea of sleeping with him, so decides to give nothing away! It’s Michelle’s first day at Housman and she puts on a brave face but can she cope? Later Michelle meets Chris Dunford (21), and Anna asks her to talk to him. He wants to know if he’ll walk again, and Michelle begins to get spooked again, but then starts to tell him stories about her crazy colleagues which he finds funny and comforting, and Michelle is pleased as she’s made a connection.
How Green Is Your Home?
Friday 16th July 2010
Ruth calls round to see Ed (30) who she rather fancies, and he talks her into staying and potting plants with him. She agrees to meet him for some guerrilla gardening on a strip of land by a local supermarket on her lunch break. As they’re leaving, Ed has a run in with neighbours John (38) and Debs (38) – who poke fun at his environmental convictions. Things are going well at lunch, until Debs and John emerge from the supermarket. After another volley of exchanges, John ‘accidentally’ runs over the plants Ed has just planted as he drives off. Passing John and Debs house on the way home, Ruth is shocked as Ed lets down their tyres.
Realising who it was, John storms round to Ed’s to confront him; Ed’s a fool, he doesn’t fit in, he should mind his own business, and then he shoves Ed to the ground. Out of frustration Ed punches the shed and injures his hand. Ruth takes him to the Mill and Michelle and Julia comment on how good looking he is. Ruth blushes as she agrees to go on a picnic with him that evening, and Ed picks her up on a tandem, and the pair wobble off for their picnic. But when Ed sees John and Debs drive past loaded down with rubbish, he decides to tail them, and sees them fly tipping. Ed borrows Ruth’s camera phone and brazenly films them, and Debs gets worried as she could lose her job with the council if the video gets out.
John tries to force Ed to hand the phone over, but Ruth takes it and stands her ground – if John doesn’t leave them alone, she’ll call the police. After they’ve left, Ruth confronts Ed about is actions – does he really think this is the right way to go about change. Why doesn’t he concentrate on like minded people? Ed considers this, before announcing her words have given him the push he needed – he’s moving to Devon to join a green commune. Does she want to join him? Ruth is sad that he’s going, but knows it’s the right thing for him. Perhaps she could come to visit.
At Housman, Anna encourages Michelle to talk to Chris again as he seems to like her. Chris is pleased to see her, until she mentions Jess, a medic travelling with his platoon who was brought in injured at the same time as him. Chris shrinks back into his shell , and is unresponsive to Michelle’s leg tests. Later, Chris, tells Michelle what happened to Jess; he was running to get help for her after bandaging the wounds as best he could, and that’s when he was caught in the explosion. Michelle tells him he sounds like a hero. Back at the Mill, confronted by an all over the place Cherry, she tells her to give it a rest and tells her about Chris. Cherry gets the point. Later Michelle tells Julia she’s never felt so challenged. At Houseman we see Chris in bed, watching as he carefully moves his foot from side to side, but when Anna arrives and asks if he’s had any joy yet, Chris says no. Cherry is in such a tizzy that she makes a minor mistake and Zara calls her incompetent, which makes her cry.
Simon confronts Daniel and asks if he really slept with Cherry because she’s in a right state and it’s affecting her work. Daniel realises he’s gone too far and tells Cherry the truth – she was far too drunk and despite her lurching efforts, he simply put her to bed and slept in the spare room. At the end of the day Jimmi has a word with Daniel. He’s going away for the weekend, and he’d like Daniel to be out of the house by the time he gets back - its about time Daniel got his own place. Astonished Daniel asks if its because of the other night, but Jimmi says he’s not overjoyed at meeting Daniel’s latest conquests in the kitchen the morning after, and why can’t he stop behaving like a med student? Is he working his way round the practice – is Karen next?! Daniel is peeved and asks if Jimmi is jealous? Jimmi goes cold and simply replies, as he said, out by Sunday night, and leaves.
