Monday 1st March 2010


Lucy throws a tantrum at Ian's birthday dinner because all conversation revolves around plans to adopt a baby. In a rage, she tears up two plane tickets to Spain, which Ian had bought as a treat for Jane, and storms out of the house. Jane follows Lucy for a heart-to-heart.

Bianca finds out that Whitney and Billie are seeing each other and comes to accept the idea quite quickly. But when Whitney goes looking for her new love on his old council estate, two of his acquaintances attack her.

Liz is determined to find her son, Owen, which makes life very difficult for Lucas. With a bit of help from Patrick, she discovers that Owen has not used his mobile phone for quite some time.

Though Whitney is unhappy with Billie for disappearing back to his old home, the boy goes to some effort to win back the girl's affection. When she finds out that Billie is storing a gun, Whitney demands that he get rid of it.

Zainab is still having difficulty trusting Masood, even though he claims to be innocent of the mysterious postal crimes. When Zainab sees her husband looking after their baby boy, though, her heart softens. Carol finds herself the target of Billy Mitchell's affections and agrees to go with him to the Argee Bhajee on a date.

Jane receives confirmation of an appointment at the clinic for Lucy to have an abortion, but the letter accidentally ends up in Peter's schoolbag.

Carol, meanwhile, is livid when she finds out that her son, Billie, has dropped out of college and demands that he start looking for a job immediately. Between keeping Billie on the straight and narrow and looking after a devastated Max, she has her hands full.

Elsewhere, Lucas is desperate to find a distraction that will keep Liz from investigating her son, Owen's, disappearance. Luckily, for him, he overhears Liz telling Patrick some useful information.


Friday 5th March 2010

Carol is determined to get her brother through a very difficult day, but Becca manages to distract Max.

Billie, meanwhile, assures Whitney that he has left his old life behind and that he is now dedicated to their relationship. When Billie's old friends make an appearance on the Square, however, the young lad finds his promises difficult to keep.


Monday 8th March 2010


Having set her sights on Max, a scheming Becca goes about putting her plan into action. After a little chat in the café with Abi, Becca walks away with a set of house keys in her hand. Later, Max comes home to a little surprise.

Trouble is still brewing for young Billie Jackson as his old crew mates seem intent on getting to know Whitney, despite the young girl's fears.

Jane feels that it is time to tell Ian about Lucy's pregnancy. Even though Jane seems to have the situation under control, Ian seems to have different plans and cannot help but seek advice from an old friend.

Peggy is desperate to feel needed behind the bar at the Queen Vic but there are storm clouds on the horizon when she and Roxy organise a grime night to attract a younger crowd.

Meanwhile, Patrick, who is anxious to please Liz, launches an investigation to try to track down her missing son, Owen, but it may not be as easy as he first thought. Elsewhere, peer pressure is mounting against Billie and Whitney.

When Billie's crew tags Arthur's bench with cans of spray paint, Whitney is left to take the blame and the brunt of Carol's anger Knowing what it is like to be on the other end of Carol's temper, Bianca takes a sympathetic approach with the teenager.

Patrick makes a breakthrough in his investigation. Trying to trace Owen's whereabouts from a bunch of flowers sent to Liz, he and Libby head down to the florist hoping to find some answers. Peggy is pushed to the limits of her trust when she is asked to help a family member in trouble with the police.


Friday 12th March 2010

Tensions mount at Patrick's house when Lucas fears that his secret might be uncovered. He realises that he needs to find a way to distract Patrick and Libby from the search for Owen.

Ian and Jane agree that Leon must never find out he is the father of Lucy's baby. Ian remembers that he has already let it slip and rushes to cover his tracks. Grateful to Peggy for welcoming him back into the Vic, Danny devises a plan to help the snubbed matriarch regain some power behind the bar.

Still scheming with Peggy, Danny tries to persuade Roxy to buy Booty, the closed-down salon once run by Tanya Branning. Jumping at the bait, Roxy rushes in only to find herself competing against a rival bidder.

Lucas is in trouble once again when the residents of Albert Square decide to do a garden makeover. Fearing that they may discover Owen's body underneath Trina's tree, the murderer decides to keep his friends close at hand. Meanwhile, Shirley overhears Phil bragging to Minty about his taste in women and fears that she may not be exactly what he is looking for.


Tuesday 16th March 2010

Roxy goes well over-budget in her determination to outbid her rival for the Booty salon. Meanwhile, Lucas is forced to face his fears when Mo, determined to find some hidden treasure, joins the gardening squad with a metal detector in hand.

Concerned that Lucy will find it difficult to balance her pregnancy and her education, Ian and Jane go to meet with the headmaster of the school. Lucy is horrified when they tell her that she is going to be home-schooled.

Ronnie agrees to help a lost little girl find her father. When she realises the identity of the father, however, she cannot help but wonder whether the girl is better off without him.

Shirley, meanwhile, enjoys a nice conversation with Ben but, when he accidentally leaves one of Phil's shopping bags behind, she is alarmed to find a diamond ring. Elsewhere, Ricky cannot afford to keep Billie on as an apprentice at the Arches. But when he fails to muster the courage to let the young man down, Phil steps in to lend a hand.

Birthday preparations for Ben and Peggy cause frictions for the Mitchell family as they bicker over Ronnie's invite.

Jane is putting all of her energy into keeping Lucy comfortable and helping her to deal with the stresses of pregnancy. Lucy is not quite as happy as Jane would hope. Shirley is embarrassed when she accepts Phil's offer of marriage without him actually proposing.

Phil is doing his best to keep his new house guest a secret. With everyone having their own opinion, however, it proves to be quite difficult to keep such a big secret. As Jane's baby excitement bubbles over, Ian finds it a little harder to work up enthusiasm. While Jane looks at baby names, Ian is browsing for abortion clinics.

Meanwhile, as they try to deal with grief in their own way, Max and Jean are both running themselves into the ground. Max makes a peace offering and the two start to lean on each other for support.

Though they have been doing their best to support each other through the tragedy of Bradley's death, the Slater family are dealt some bad news which forces them to face their worst fear.

Jane's maternal instincts are stretched to their limits when Lucy is taken to hospital. Torn between caring for Lucy and wanting a child of her own, Jane sets her own desires to one side. Peggy and Phil are expecting an important guest but their hopes of making a good impression look to be threatened when they make enemies of Billie's old crew.

Having fallen seriously behind with the rent, Janine and Ryan enlist Morgan to help them put their new money-making scheme into action. Meanwhile, if Shirley is going to make things work with Phil, she is going to have to deliver some bad news to her best friend, Heather.

Elsewhere, tensions come to a climax between Whitney and Billie. Feeling frustrated with Billie over his loyalties to his old friends, Whitney gives him an ultimatum.
