Minty discovers that Phil and Manda aren't having an affair. Phil is, in fact, seeing someone else. Meanwhile, Shirley questions Dr Al to try to find out what is wrong with Heather, and Roxy tells Jack that Ronnie is also seeing someone else. Elsewhere, Amira and Janine compete for a job at Booty.

Minty struggles with his conscience and doesn't know whether to tell Garry what he saw. Syd, meanwhile, gets a new flatmate but, unfortunately for her, it's not Bradley. Shirley is horrified when she finds out that Heather is pregnant. Jordan asks Ben to cover for him when he skives off school, and Roxy uses Amy to get close to Jack.

Garry asks Phil for some relationship advice. Minty tells Manda his secret, while Shirley makes a shocking decision regarding Heather's pregnancy. Elsewhere, Patrick turns up for dinner with Pat and Peggy, but he has an unwanted guest in tow.

Jordan drops a bombshell on Denise and Lucas. Meanwhile, Peggy meets a handsome stranger. Elsewhere, Janine forces Tiffany to enter a talent competition and Pat and Peggy consider getting some cosmetic help. Shirley later puts pressure on Heather to have her child adopted.

Without revealing who he is, Heather admits to Shirley that the father of her baby is someone Shirley knows. Peggy, meanwhile, learns some unwelcome news about her handsome stranger, and Trina's plan begins to come together. Elsewhere, Jane uncovers Ian's plans to exploit Bobby.

Phil makes it clear to Archie that he is not welcome back in Walford. Janine enters Tiffany into the "Teeny Weenie" talent contest, with the hope that she'll win her the prize money. Meanwhile, Christian pushes Syed too far and the pair fight in the Masala Unit. Elsewhere, Stacey's behaviour becomes more erratic after she receives the divorce papers from Bradley; and Tanya questions whether allowing Max back into her life is a good idea.

Ian forges a plan to beat Janine and Tiffany in the talent contest. Elsewhere, Zainab is horrified to discover that Syed's painting has been ruined; Stacey befriends Whitney; and when Phil sets out to take revenge on Archie, he makes a shocking discovery. Max and Tanya, meanwhile, grow closer.

Archie attempts to win Peggy back, but only succeeds in driving her further away. Meanwhile, Syed makes a big announcement and Ian discovers that Jane is a judge for the talent contest and tries to convince her to rig the result so that Bobby wins. Elsewhere, Stacey is desperate to discover the identity of Max's new woman.

Stacey becomes obsessive about finding out who Max is seeing. Meanwhile, Ian's plan for Bobby to win the talent contest is foiled; a distressed Debra comes to Whitney for help; and Christian tries to talk to Syed following his shock announcement.

Debra is being chased by a mystery man and begs Whitney for help. Stacey's behaviour becomes increasingly erratic as her quest to discover who Max is seeing grows ever-more obsessive. Meanwhile, Max and Tanya are growing closer.

Whitney is shocked to discover who the mystery man is, while Abi and Lauren grow suspicious over whether Max and Tanya are back together. Elsewhere, Jean confesses her fears to a doctor that Stacey might have bi-polar disorder.

Whitney discovers that Debra has been lying to her. Meanwhile, Max realises that winning his family back is not going to be easy; and Jean convinces Stacey that she needs help.

Stacey agrees to visit the doctor and finally accepts that she is unwell. Meanwhile, in a bid to get Debra to stay, Whitney tells her mother about Tony and the upcoming trial; and Max ends up in hospital after an eventful evening out at the bowling alley with Abi and Lauren.

Janine gets a new flatmate. Meanwhile, Syed tells Christian that he is not welcome at his engagement party; Ronnie returns and is horrified to find out who Roxy is living with; and it's Libby's 18th birthday and she's unnerved when she discovers who has sent her a card.

Amira tells Zainab the truth about her father, while Christian finds himself in a dangerous situation. Libby, meanwhile, is put under pressure by her Gran to visit her father in prison; and Ronnie decides to stay in the Square.

Libby goes to see her Dad in prison and he reveals some unsettling news. Meanwhile, Ronnie decides to turn over a new leaf and has a dalliance with Janine's new flatmate, while Syed is concerned after learning about Christian's attack. Later, Jack tells Roxy some home truths.
Friday 31st July 2009
A jealous Janine takes revenge on Ronnie for sleeping with her flatmate. Elsewhere, Chelsea returns home looking glamorous and Syed and Christian grow closer.
