Monday 16th August 2010

Katie (Sammy Winward) keeps her reservations to herself when Adele (Tanya Vital) seems to want to give Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) another chance. She warns Andy that he has a clean slate with Adele and not to mess it up, but she’s taken aback when Andy angrily blames her for his trust issues. Clearly worried for Adele, Katie tells her about Andy spying on them. Later, Adele is uneasy as she meets Andy at Dale View, she decides to be straight with him and tells him he needs to change if they are going to be together. After she leaves, Andy angrily punches a cupboard.

Leyla’s (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) mood is sullen as she tries to distract herself with the shop. She awkwardly leaves a message for Justin (Andrew Langtree) asking him to call her. Meanwhile, Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) storms into the shop irate about Leyla’s new potato oven. Later, David (Matthew Wolfenden) sees Leyla panic when he answers her phone but she’s relieved when it’s just Doug (Duncan Preston).

Paddy (Dominic Brunt) is concerned when Rhona (Zoe Henry) seems to be avoiding him and confronts her about her evasive behaviour. She firmly denies it and insists she loves having him around.

Terry (Billy Hartman) tells a disappointed Rodney (Patrick Mower) that he’s the boss and he only wants Rodney as a driver. Jackson’s (Marc Silcock) pleased when Aaron (Danny Miller) tells him he’s booked tickets to join him on holiday and has arranged for Hazel (Pauline Quirke) to stay on at Paddy’s.


Tuesday 17th August 2010

(Episode 5684)


Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) is relieved when Rhona (Zoe Henry) doesn’t question his story about the broken cupboard. Later, Adele (Tanya Vital) agrees to talk to Andy privately but when she tells him they need to break up he tries to stop her from leaving. Scared, she rushes out as Andy tries really hard to control his anger. In the pub, Katie is concerned when Adele tells her she broke up with him.

Andy is in turmoil as he sits in his Landover revving the engine. He doesn’t see Katie as he suddenly drives at speed trying to block out his thoughts and crashes straight into a set of bins. Katie can’t believe her eyes and as she runs over to make sure he’s okay she’s met by his anger and feels totally helpless. Will Katie be able to help her angry ex?

Holly (Sophie Powles) climbs out of bed and is disappointed that she hasn’t got any cocaine left. Later, Hannah (Grace Cassidy) reluctantly introduces Isaac (Jake Roche) to the family. Holly guiltily pockets Isaac’s MP3 when she notices he’s left it behind.

Rhona (Zoe Henry) arranges to go on a residential training course in Glasgow. She’s delighted when Marlon (Mark Charnock) agrees to go with her.

Eve’s (Suzanne Shaw) pleased when Carl (Tom Lister) offers to give her a lift to her job interview, he’s relieved when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) doesn’t hear them flirting. Hazel (Pauline Quirke) introduces herself as Jackson’s (Marc Silcock) mum to Chas.


Wednesday 18th August 2010

(Episode 5685)

Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) refuses to talk to Katie (Sammy Winward) about last night, while, Adele (Tanya Vital) insists she is over him. Katie’s disappointed to hear they won’t be getting back together but understands why Adele has been scared off. Later, Andy vulnerably reaches out to Katie and breaks down in her arms.

Moira (Natalie J Robb) notices Adam (Adam Thomas) suspects Holly (Sophie Powles) when Hannah (Grace Cassidy) reveals Isaac’s (Jake Roche) MP3 is missing. Feeling guilty, Holly heads to the bus stop with the MP3 and orders some coke over the phone. Later, Adam wishes he could believe Holly when she insists she didn’t take it.

Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) is reflecting on what to do with her life and walks out when Carl (Tom Lister) tells her to get him a sandwich. He is indignant when she returns from town having been shopping with Eve (Suzanne Shaw).

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) worries that the staff at the pub don’t like her after she tries to organise a rota. Leyla’s (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) flattered that Viv (Deena Payne) sees her business as competition.


Thursday 19th August 2010

(Episode 5686 / 5687)

Holly (Sophie Powles) is geared up for a night out with Roz (Kirsty Leigh Porter) and does a line of coke at work to get her through the day. However, her plans to go out are thwarted when Moira (Natalie J Robb) agrees for Holly to babysit for Laurel. She’s thrilled when Roz turns up at Mulberry, but Roz is disgusted when she insists on doing a line.

When Ashley and Laurel return home, they’re suspicious about her behaviour and Holly is oblivious that in her hurry to leave she’s dropped some things under the sofa. Roz is sombre at Holly’s irresponsible attitude and calls it a night, but she’s concerned when Holly makes a scene outside the pub and insists on taking her for a drive to sober her up. Meanwhile, Ashley is livid as he finds Holly’s wrap of cocaine.

Katie (Sammy Winward) is determined to help Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) and suggests he see someone professional. The GP urges him to try anger management therapy. Worried he won’t be able to pay for it, Katie tries to reassure him it’s worth the expense.

Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) and Carl’s (Tom Lister) arguing comes to a head when she decides she’s had enough of his patronising ways and quits. Paddy’s (Dominic Brunt) highly amused at Marlon’s (Mark Charnock) excitement as he waves Marlon and Rhona (Zoe Henry) off on their week long residential course.

Ashley (John Middleton) heads straight round to John (James Thornton) and Moira’s (Natalie J Robb), they convince him not to call the police and tensely wait for her to return. Holly and Roz (Kirsty Leigh Porter) panic when John and Moira uncover the wrap of cocaine and Roz is furious when Holly blames it on her and tells them their daughter has a drug problem. Later, Holly can’t meet their eyes when they question her about Isaac’s iPod and when she refuses to stop doing drugs John sees red and disowns her.

Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) is on a mission and ropes Eve (Suzanne Shaw) in to help her. She rents out Jimmy’s (Nick Miles) old office at Pear Tree and takes Eve on as her PA.

Pearl (Meg Johnson) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) try to rope Hazel (Pauline Quirke) in to painting a portrait of a customer’s dead cat, insisting she’ll get £200 for it. Hazel asserts she doesn’t paint portraits and whatever the payment she can’t be persuaded.

Hannah (Grace Cassidy) is thrilled when Isaac (Jake Roche) reveals he likes her, but is embarrassed when Moira accidently interrupts them kissing. Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler) furious with Jimmy (Nick Miles) for taking a driving job instead of helping her and when he and Carl (Tom Lister) turn up for an after hours pint she sends them away.


Friday 20th August 2010

(Episode 5688)


Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) and Eve (Suzanne Shaw) set about brainstorming business ideas much to Carl (Tom Lister) and Jimmy’s (Nick Miles) amusement. Later, Eve heads back to Pear Tree eager to see Carl, and impresses him with some of her ideas. The sexual tension between them is palpable but the moment is interrupted by Chas (Lucy Pargeter).

Moira (Natalie J Robb) is worried when she realises Holly’s (Sophie Powles) not in her room. At the pub, Moira is forced to admit to Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Val (Charlie Hardwick) what happened and it’s not long before mouthy Nicola makes it public knowledge. Later, John (James Thornton) and Moira continue to argue about John’s treatment of Holly and Moira breaks down when they find a pawn shop receipt for the sale of an iPod.

Val’s fed up when Nicola ruins her fun with Bob (Anthony Audenshaw) and refuses to join in the banter. Later, Val warns Nicola she can’t sack Moira because of Holly’s misgivings.

Bob’s impressed with Lizzie’s (Kitty McGeever) ability to put the kids at ease when he has them over at Tall Tree’s for the day. Meanwhile, Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) senses Viv’s (Deena Payne) regret at her separation from Bob.
