Monday 30th August 2010
(Episode 5695)

Carl sets the wheels in motion when he lies to Chas that he’s doing a long haul drive later. After secretly booking a hotel room he rings Eve and tells her where to meet him. Later, she illicitly meets him at the hotel and as they head upstairs to the room they can’t contain themselves and start passionately undressing each other. Eve feels guilty about Chas but it doesn’t stop her staying for the afternoon with Carl. That evening at the Woolpack, Eve and Carl steal a moment alone but it’s a close call when Chas comes looking for Carl.

Natasha and Nathan try to convince Maisie that Ryan is guilty and she should stop torturing herself. Later, Nikhil comforts Maisie as she goes through how she lost her phone. She starts to get an inkling that Nathan might be guilty after all.

Nicola is getting stressed at the pub and has doubts when Rodney reveals that Angelica said her first word “Mummy”.
Viv’s comments have hit Lizzie hard as she declines an outing with Bob and the kids. Natasha gets a call from the coroner that Mark’s body has been released and is ready for burial


Tuesday 31st August 2010
(Episode 5696)

Carl suggests to Eve they make a night of it next time but later when Scarlett lets on that Chas and Carl are still having sex its clear Carl is in the doghouse. However, he quickly wins her round and it’s clear he can cope with the double life when Chas drops in. Later, it’s clear Eve is uncomfortable when Chas kisses Carl. She decides that whatever Carl and her have is not worth the risk and decides to end it.

Natasha’s worried by the thought that Ryan may attend the funeral so she sternly tells Faye to keep him away. However, defiant Faye visits a steely Ryan in prison and insists it’s important he attend the funeral to shake things up a bit.

Rhona and Marlon arrive back from the conference very loved up, he tells Paddy he’s more determined than ever to make it work.

Bob is grateful for Hazel bringing the best out in Viv when he gets to see the twins, however Lizzie is clearly jealous when Bob sing’s Hazel’s praises.


Wednesday 1st September 2010
(Episode 5697)

Natasha seethes when Ryan arrives at Mark’s funeral flanked by two policemen but she stops Nathan from making a scene. At the cemetery, Nathan spitefully intervenes when Ryan pleads with Maisie to believe him. At a loss, Ryan spits that Nathan set him up and continues to beg Maisie to help him as he’s dragged away. Later, Declan agrees to cover for her when Maisie tells him she needs to head out for a while. In turmoil, Maisie visits Ryan and he’s relieved when she concedes that Nathan must have taken her phone. She is left reeling by Ryan’s suggestion that Nathan is the murderer but when she returns home she tells Natasha and Nathan that she feels a lot clearer now.

Eve is furious when she discovers Carl used a pseudonym to arrange a “business” meeting with her in a Hotten. His plan backfired when Scarlett attended the meeting on her behalf. Fuming at his arrogance, Eve keeps her resolve, but Carl assures her she’ll change her mind and she softens slightly when he informs her he bought a new phone just for her calls.

Hannah’s shocked to find Holly in the house picking up some belongings. She hastily rushes off to find John when Holly leaves. John sets out in search of her, and Moira is left feeling helpless as she worries that Holly is gone for good.

Faye and Jai call it a day for their romance when he’s uneasy with her emotional baggage.


Thursday 2nd September 2010

Maisie storms off when Declan asks her who she thinks really killed Mark. She comes across Sam and takes him up on his offer of a cup of tea. Sam guiltily admits to Maisie that he found Mark’s wallet in the woods, and runs off to tell Cain the cat is out of the bag. Maisie’s stunned when Cain arrives at Home Farm and grimly tells her they need to talk.

Smitten with Rhona, Marlon prepares to ask her to move in and has a grand speech prepared. But things don’t go to plan when she arrives in the pub to overhear him telling Moira about his decision and is left on the spot.

Chas arranges an impromptu surprise birthday party for Katie and asks Eve to help Carl get the BBQ ready.

Jimmy is getting used to pub life, but its taking its toll on Nicola. Hazel agrees to Ashley’s idea to hold art classes in the village hall.

Maisie is staggered when Cain admits he was the one who sent the flowers and the suit and Natasha and Nathan paid him to keep quiet. He insists he can’t go to the police without incriminating himself, but her hands are clean and it’s up to her to help Ryan. With nowhere else to turn, a desperate Maisie arrives at Declan’s and explains she knows Nathan killed her dad and Natasha is helping him cover it up. Unnerved and appalled Declan comforts her and urges her they will think of something to help Ryan.

Katie’s thrilled with her surprise party but questions why Eve’s there because she’s hardly a friend. Oblivious, Chas urges her to give Eve a chance. Meanwhile, Eve is starting to enjoy Carl’s persistence. Later, Carl finds Eve alone, apart from a comatose Terry on the sofa, and their flirting turns into kissing and before you know it Eve has given in to temptation.

Put on the spot, Rhona accepts his proposition and Marlon’s ecstatic. Later, she tries to hide her panic when he gets down on one knee and presents her with a ring box, she’s relieved that it’s a house key inside.

David’s worried about Leyla’s downbeat mood, sure she’s keeping something from him. Nicola is tiring of running the pub. At the party, Andy is jealous seeing Adele at the centre of attention as she teases tipsy Brenda.


Friday 3rd September 2010
(Episode 5700)

Maisie tells Ryan about Cain’s blackmail and he instantly calls his solicitor. However, Cain denies all knowledge when the solicitor pays him a visit. Maisie returns home and tries to act normal, but Maisie is unaware that Nathan has witnessed her talking to Cain outside. Nathan confides in Natasha that Maisie knows more than she should and panicked Natasha warns Nathan she’ll handle this one.

Leyla is clearly distracted and lies to David that she’s going to a spa day, instead she heads to a nearby park and watches Justin playing football with Alicia’s son Jacob. Steeling herself, she gets out of the van but Justin hastily warns her to stay away – reminding her Alicia would go mad, but Leyla urges him to listen. He reluctantly agrees to meet her tomorrow when she urges how much he misses her sister.

Marlon is disappointed by Rhona’s lack of enthusiasm about moving her stuff into Tall Trees. Jimmy and Rodney convince Nicola to take a couple of hours off to spend with Angelica. Katie comforts Andy who’s nervous about his first counselling session tomorrow
