Chas kick starts her masterplan and goes about inviting everyone to the pub later. Carl is reluctant for Eve to come when Chas suggests she joins them and Chas holds back the tears as she walks away. Later, Chas makes a real effort and Carl is buoyed with regret when he sees her looking stunning. Despite herself, she relents when he pulls her into a passionate embrace. When they arrive at the pub, Charity gets Chas to pull herself together as she plots revenge.

Determined not to be left out, Eve arrives in the pub but is put out to learn Chas and Carl re-ignited their passion ahead of their night at the pub. The pub fills up as Chas pulls herself together and gets down on one knee before asking him to marry her. Eve is quietly devastated when Carl gleefully accepts. She fights back the tears and furiously confronts Carl. Dismissive, he insists he had no choice and they will sort something out tomorrow. Chas smiles along as a toast is made to the happy couple.

Paddy is determined to stick by Rhona when she decides she’s got to leave. He refuses to let her go and persuades her that Marlon will be shocked but happy about being a dad. They prepare to tell Marlon everything and he’s elated when Rhona reveals she’s pregnant. However, his joy quickly turns to horror when Paddy tells him that he and Rhona are together. Devastated, he storms out leaving the couple to wallow in their guilt.

Tuesday 23rd November 2010

It’s the morning after the night before and Chas’ façade shows signs of cracking as Carl’s feigns enthusiasm about their engagement. Determined, she makes it clear she wants the wedding sooner rather than later. However, when Carl resists her enthusiasm to have the wedding asap, Chas begins to panic she won’t be able to pull off her master plan. After relaying her concerns to Charity, she’s reassured the scam will work – she just needs to up the ante and get him down the aisle fast. In the pub that night, Chas continues order orange juice until the penny finally drops for Carl who’s elated when she confirms she’s pregnant and agrees she can have whatever she wants.

Maisie is clearly having second thoughts about Nathan’s plan for her and Will to settle with him in London, but refuses to acknowledge her own doubts and objects when Ryan tries to convince her to stay. He cruelly tells her not to bother keeping in touch. Declan reassures Maisie he’s here if she needs him but Nathan smugly claims Maisie and Will are all just fine.

Rhona and Paddy are both laden with guilt after yesterday’s conversation with Marlon and Paddy feels terrible when he tries to talk to him but gets the cold shoulder. As Marlon pours his heart out to Zak about the whole mess, he admits Paddy and Rhona are the two people he cares most about in the world and they’ve taken away his chance to be a proper dad.

Holly is in agony as she slips back into withdrawal and as John watches on, he questions whether they’re doing the right thing as she seems to be getting worse. Tortured by her betrayal, Moira claims she’s up and down all the time. Amy has her feet well under the table at the B&B and continues to work on Val’s soft side. Belle and Will plan their final days of mischief before he leaves the village. Aaron can’t believe his mum is being so stupid and marrying Carl but she begs him to trust her this time.

Wednesday 24th November 2010

Chas begs Carl not to tell anyone about the ‘pregnancy’ and heads out to tell Charity about the new development in her plan. Meanwhile, Carl is on cloud nine about the ‘pregnancy’ and decides to set Eve straight, who’s left hurt and rejected when he tells her he’s going to honour his commitment to Chas. Chas gets to work choosing the priciest options for the wedding and setting the date for Christmas Day – she wants a full on church bash to humiliate Carl. Meanwhile, Eve is fuming and Carl is unnerved that she has the power to ruin everything. Her mood doesn’t go unnoticed and Edna is keen to know what’s going on.

Maisie and Will refuse to join Nathan to watch Natasha being sentenced but are both clearly saddened by the news she’s received at least 21 years inside. In the pub, Nathan is drowning his sorrows and turns his venom on Ryan as he smugly offers to buy him a drink with the fortune he’s made selling Home Farm. Venting his anger about his mum, Nathan gloats he’s now a millionaire and Maisie has stuck by him. Furious about Maisie and Will, Ryan squares up to him and although Declan drags them apart, it’s clear vengeful Ryan won’t let this go.

Moira is terrified Holly is going to spill the beans when she loses the chance for a fix after Roz shows up and they turn her away. Feeling guilty Moira is on the verge of confessing to John as he tells her how well she’s coping with Holly and none of this is your fault.

Amy tries to make herself indispensible at the B&B, Val agrees to let her stay on for one more night and talk to Pollard about a more permanent arrangement. Diane and Zak are worried Marlon isn’t coping well and calls into work sick. Declan is annoyed that Ella still hasn’t signed over the deeds to Home Farm.

Thursday 25th November 2010

Declan enjoys bossing Nathan around and insists he’s measuring up for new furniture when Nathan finds him behind the sofa. Nathan’s surprised when Ryan shows up and wants to know why he set him up. As Nathan gloats, Ryan pleads to know who framed him and lays it on thick about Natasha rotting away in prison. Incensed, Nathan spits that he did set him up and watching him sent down was one of the best moments of his life. As Ryan leaves, a slow smile creeps across his face.

Later, Declan approaches Ryan at the garage and hands him a recording of Nathan’s confession, which he thinks the police would love to hear. Ryan thanks him for planting the recorder for him and although he knows it will destroy Maisie he’s thrilled to finally hold all the cards. He plays the tape to Maisie claiming she has a right to know the truth about how poisonous her brother is, but she’s in turmoil at the latest revelation about her family and crumbles at Ryan’s audacity.

Steeling herself, she confronts Nathan and bitterly rails that Ryan is their brother, she couldn’t do what he’s done to her worst enemy. As he protests he did it for his family, she counters that he has no family, not anymore. As shocked Will enters, Maisie takes his hand and leaves Home Farm spitting that she will never forgive Nathan for what he’s done and she hopes his money makes him happy.

Charity and Chas are busy wedding planning and Charity urges her to push for wedding of the year and make sure she gets every penny possible from him. She’s delighted when Carl agrees to set up a wedding account which he’ll transfer money into. Back at Pear Tree, Carl is relieved when Eve agrees to keep their dirty secret so that no-one else gets hurt, but they’re both unnerved when Chas walks in and says she needs to talk. Carl and Eve are anxious as Chas approaches and are stunned when she asks Eve to be a bridesmaid.

Feeling pressured, Eve agrees but she’s in bits about the mess she’s got herself into. Concerned, Edna presses her to tell her what’s up and feeling wretched Eve confesses about the affair. Edna’s terse as she tells her she’s disappointed, but softens on seeing her upset and tells her she’ll support her no matter what. However, Edna thinks Carl should know better and despite Eve’s demand to keep quiet, Edna’s not so sure she can. Meanwhile, Chas delights as Carl promises her he’ll try and increase the wedding budget.

Alicia takes advantage of Leyla when she agrees to pick Jacob up from school, she slyly gets Jacob to beg his auntie to make his costume for the nativity. However, Alicia reasserts herself when Leyla gets all motherly towards Jacob. David reminds her she needs to keep a check on her maternal instincts around Jacob and knowing he’s right, Leyla’s pleased he’s being so understanding of the chaos she’s just thrown on the family.

Pollard arrives back ready to romance Val but is annoyed to see Amy is still there. Jai puts pressure on Charity to give Lisa the hard sell on moving out – hoping Debbie will just go along with it. Lisa susses what Charity is up to and warns her she’s asking for trouble. Meanwhile, Cain and Debbie are annoyed when they hear about Charity and Jai’s plan. Sam’s offended when Lisa tries to help Samson with his spelling.

Friday 26th November 2010

Nathan boils with anger as he confronts Ryan over setting him up, but Ryan relishes having the power and claims he’s in no position to be making threats – it’s about time Nathan learned how it feels to have someone else control his future. Ryan makes him sweat about the recording, and states the only way he’ll drop it, is if Nathan signs over his fortune to a trust for Will. Making his way to Holdgate, Nathan pleads with Maisie and tells her he’s just signed over all his cash to Will to prove how much he loves them.

Maisie opens the door to reveal Ryan stood next to her, and before closing the door in his face she asserts he knows he’d never do anything so selfless by choice. As a defeated Nathan walks out with only a paltry box of belongings to call his own, Declan tells him to close the gates on his way out and smiles that Home Farm is finally his.

Chas stresses as she’s pressured into asking Gennie to be a bridesmaid and decides to tell Aaron the truth about the wedding – who instantly warms to the idea. Meanwhile, at Pear Tree, Carl is worried when a frosty Edna tells him she knows about Eve. She claims she’s not in the business of hurting people so she won’t tell Chas, but she will if she gets a mere inkling he’s still carrying on with Eve. Carl panics his dirty secret is going to be exposed.

Moira’s all too aware of the mistake she’s made when Holly is doubled up in pain. She lies to John that she’s heading to the clinic for advice and makes up some story when she returns. However, keen to help her daughter, Moira tidies up as Holly snoozes after her fix.

Katie’s miffed that she hasn’t been asked to be a bridesmaid but joining her for a drink Henshall insists it’s because she’s too pretty. Jai refuses Charity’s attempt at a pay rise if she manages to pull this off, while Lisa’s still livid at Charity’s attempt to make them sell.
