Monday 27th December 2010

Andy is furious with Diane when she warns Katie that she should never have led Andy on. Meanwhile, Chas is curious to find the girls phone unplugged and Katie admits someone has been calling in the middle of the night and hanging up. Later, Andy turns up at the Woolpack asking for a word with Katie. Tired of his obsessing she tells him to leave it and Chas angrily suggests he get the message.

Hazel and Jackson try to get used to life together in Dale Head and tempers flare from their frustration. She confides to Paddy that she’s terrified of hurting him unintentionally.

Amy is upset to learn her departure is still on the cards, whilst Pollard uneasily shoves a card from ‘Elizabeth’ out of sight. Alicia is annoyed when Justin unexpectedly turns up in the village but she refuses to let him see Jacob. Scarlett decides to buy a place of her own and asks Adam to move in with her.


Tuesday 28th December 2010


The girls enjoy a night out in Hotten, but they’re horrified when they return to discover they’ve been burgled. The police are taking their time arriving so Gennie convinces Katie to call Henshall. Upon further inspection, they realise not much has been taken but are shocked at the way in which the house has been trashed. Henshall comforts them but admits he is worried that someone is out to get the girls.

Amy is left wondering what Pollard is up to when she hands him a letter from “Elizabeth” and questions if she’s his fancy woman. Leyla tries to convince Alicia to seek legal advice instead of ignoring Justin and refusing to let him see Jacob. Jackson struggles to come to terms with his new life in the village.


Wednesday 29th December 2010


Amy follows uneasy Pollard to the cemetery to meet ‘Elizabeth’. Looking at his ex wife’s headstone he is eager to know who’s behind all this. When he arrives back at the B&B Amy falters that Elizabeth didn’t show and when Pollard realises she’s followed him he angrily accuses her of being behind it all. However, genuinely upset Amy denies his accusation and accuses Pollard of having an affair. She’s stumped when he reveals ‘Elizabeth’ is his dead wife and they are curious to know who’s behind the mischief.

Henshall visits the girls to make sure they’re okay, but Katie is awkward at his kindness. Gennie mentions that Andy could have been behind this, but Katie snaps at her. However, it’s clear it’s crossed her mind too. Later, Gennie’s suspicions are further ignited when Ryan tells her Andy was out somewhere so he wouldn’t have seen anything.

Viv finds it hard seeing Hazel and Bob so matey when Bob arrives late to pick up the twins. Diane seems jealous when Laurel suggests that Doug has a new fancy woman after he makes excuses and disappears into Hotten again.


Thursday 30th December 2010


As the village remembers the plane crash, Pollard seems to be taking the anniversary of his wife’s death particularly hard. However, when he finds another sign from ‘Elizabeth’ he’s taken aback and angrily insists that it’s Amy who’s haunting him. However, when he visits Elizabeth’s grave and puts some flowers down a cold voice from behind startles him. Michael stands there as Pollard challenges that it was him sending the flowers. Michael coolly insists that it wouldn’t be his mother would it. After all she’s dead and Pollard knows that considering he was the one that killed her…

Gennie is convinced that Andy stole Katie’s belongings and trashed the house. Determined, she visits Henshall and confides her fears. He convinces her there is no evidence but they both have Katie’s best interests at heart so he will look out for her. Later, in the pub, Gennie worries so Chas decides there’s no harm in asking Andy outright.

Ella and Declan disagree on how to spend New Year’s Eve when Ella decides she’s throwing a party. In the village, Mia sees Adam and suggests if he’s so miserable he should dump Scarlett. Dermot realises his granddaughter is a bit down in the dumps after her parents argument so insists they do something to cheer her up.

Zak is bright as Derek brings round a tip off for a potential customer for his Man with a Van business. Viv and Terry share a moment as he tries to convince her to go out dancing and let go of Bob.

Pollard tries to get away as Michael insists they both know the truth. However, it’s clear this business isn’t finished. Later, Michael appears in the B&B and introduces himself before relaying that Pollard killed his mother. Val quickly shows him the door but it’s clear she wants answers from Pollard. Pollard explains that Michael wants money, and Val is flabbergasted to see that Pollard is seriously thinking about paying him off. He tells her to stay out of it: he’ll deal with this his way.

Intent on cheering Mia up, Dermot gets her to dig the flowers beds up at Home Farm – sure that vegetable patches are better. Meanwhile, Declan is annoyed as Ella continues to arrange the New Years Eve party. Ella accuses Declan of overreacting and Declan struggles to resist her charms.

As Chas publicly accuses Andy of the phone calls and break in, Henshall steps in and tells Chas to leave the investigation to him. However, aside, he tells Andy he’s watching him.. Impressed by his handling of the situation, Katie asks Henshall to call her to set up another date.

Adam’s unenthusiastic as he heads to a viewing with Scarlett. Terry can’t help feel awkward as he shares another moment of closeness with Viv when she thanks him for being on her side.


Friday 31st December 2010


Seeing Michael in the village, Pollard pulls over and coolly asks him to get in. Driving to remote countryside, Pollard tells him to get out and brandishes a tyre iron. Back in the village, Val is suspicious as she questions Turner about what he knows. He reveals there was a lot of scandal surrounding Pollard and the weeks leading up to Elizabeth’s death. She questions if he thinks Pollard killed her but wary he insists she should be talking to Eric. She heads straight to the B&B and finds a rattled Pollard: he inisists that he paid Michael off. Suspecting he’s lying, Val pushes him to tell her the truth. Unconvinced by his response she packs her bags and strides out.

Declan feigns indifference as Ella emerges looking stunning. The family head to the pub, and as soon as they get there Declan peels off to join the girls. Meanwhile, Mia flirts with Adam and wonders if he’s a free man yet. When Scarlett arrives, Adam can’t help but steal a few looks at Mia. He joins her at the bar but is shocked when she grabs him and pulls him in for a passionate kiss. Scarlett marches over and chastises Mia. An almighty row breaks out between Scarlett and Adam with various family members in tow. Meanwhile, Declan takes the bull by the horns and leads Ella home for a private party.

Jackson is positive after his hospital appointment and insists on going to the New Years karaoke party at the Woolpack. However, when he has to keep asking his mum for a drink it’s clear he’s getting agitated. He apologises for his behaviour but insists that Hazel gets some help with his care.

Lisa insists that Derek join her and Zak for the karaoke party at the Woolpack however no one notices his regular glances at Lisa as the party gets underway.
