Holby City: January 2010 - Episode guide
Find out what's coming up in this month's visits to Holby!
Tuesday 5th January 2010
Faye hopes that if she throws herself into her work, it will help her get over her grief for Archie. Being back in the hospital where Archie died, though, only intensifies her need for answers. Against Joseph's advice, Faye finds a quiet place to talk to Lauren and asks her why she killed her son. Later, Lauren is brought into Holby as a patient...
Meanwhile, a chilled-out Ric returns to work after his suspension and Jac sees an opportunity to retain her consultant status and share his patient list. However, she unintentionally upsets him by undermining him in theatre, so he blocks her promotion.
Chrissie bumps into Sacha Levy, with whom she recently went on a date, and discovers that he is covering a shift at Holby. She is surprised to see him and tries to avoid him. But, when he asks to see her again, he realises that she is pregnant – and that the child is his.
Tuesday 12th January 2010
Lauren's mum, Sandra, arrives to see her after the accident. Faye, however, is determined to stay detached but, in the relatives' room, Sandra recalls the whole story from Lauren's perspective. When Joseph starts to doubt her, Faye realises that she needs to let go of her anger and stop blaming Lauren.
Ric, meanwhile, wants an apology for his "suspension" and a meeting is called to investigate the handling of the Archie incident. Vanessa defends her actions but the board needs a scapegoat and it is decided that Judith's contract won't be renewed.
When Oliver learns that photos of his dalliance with Jac have been posted all over the hospital, he tries to hide them from a returning Daisha.
Tuesday 19th January 2010
Linden wants to regain his friendship with Faye and help her through the loss of her son, Archie. Faye finds her shift tough as she has to deal with the death of a young child.
Meanwhile, Thandie wants to persuade Ric to give her a second chance, but any hopes for reconciliation are shattered when she mishandles a case. Ric's suspicions are confirmed as he, Elliot and Thandie battle to stabilise a patient in theatre – Thandie hasn't changed.
When Maria is entrusted with running Darwin in Faye's absence, the stress gets to her. Maria realises that she's become a monster and is reminded that there are more important things in life than being perfect.
