On Keller, Ric worries about some test results and clashes with Michael over the Moyles Fund. The sexual tension between Greg and Connie interferes with their patient care, and Faye alienates Linden by pushing Joseph for a divorce.
Man With No Name

Ric and Michael's banter continues. With the battle for funds reaching new levels, they must both set up pitches to the board. Later, Ric bumps into Annalese and the connection becomes more conspicuous by the minute.
Greg has an awful hangover and some unwanted responsibilities as Oliver's education supervisor and must teach him all day, much to Connie's amusement. Greg delegates paperwork to Oliver, who ends up discovering a serious discrepancy which panics Greg and Connie.
Penny, meanwhile, is delighted to be made the unofficial boss on the Acute Assessment Unit, but her delight turns to dismay when she and Frieda encounter a perverse and disturbed patient.
Skipping A Beat

Greg tries to impress on Connie the need to be discreet about their relationship, but is given cause to regret taking the initiative when she teases him in front of a visiting American surgeon.
Meanwhile, Michael's resentment of Annalese sees him resort to a night of hard drinking, and Linden is furious to learn who has been named as the third party responsible for breaking up Faye's marriage.
Transgressions

Ric decides that his relationship with Annalese is out of control and does the right thing and ends it. Michael, however, continues to drown his sorrows.
Oliver stands up to Greg over a patient and makes a bad error of judgement. He thinks he's burnt his bridges with Greg for good; instead his actions earn him respect from his mentor for the first time.
Penny feels hard-done by when she is marginalised by Greene in favour of Frieda. But when she realises that Frieda hates every minute of Greene's favouritism, Penny and Frieda realise they have a common enemy and plot their revenge.
'Til The Grave

Michael is falling apart and his desperate plea for reconciliation with Annalese forces her to make the ultimate admission – that she's been seeing Ric – as the medical drama continues. Michael confronts Ric about his betrayal, but gets a surprise when Ric reveals that he has cancer.
On the day that Penny becomes an F2, she and Sacha must deal with an emergency. Penny wants to prove her worth, but when a child dies she has serious doubts about her chosen profession. However, Frieda's plain talking makes Penny face up to her responsibilities.
When Joseph learns that Faye and Linden are finished as a couple, he still wants a divorce. But when Faye has a pregnancy scare, he puts his acrimony aside for the sake of their unborn child. Joseph convinces Faye to test for Lowes and assures her that whatever the outcome, he will be a father to the baby.
The Last Day Of Summer
Tuesday 31st August 2010
Ric wants to put his admission to Michael about his cancer behind him. Meanwhile, Annalese wants answers as to why Ric suddenly dumped her, but he avoids being honest and tells her to go back to Michael. Ric realises he needs to face up to his cancer and hands in his resignation to Mark. Performing one last operation, Ric collapses in theatre – it's up to Michael to save him.
Oliver doesn't want to be a burden to Greg but his desire to please him results in Oliver overstretching himself medically. When Connie finds out that Greg left Oliver unsupervised, she is horrified. Oliver tells Greg he covered for him – Greg doesn't know that Ollie has got him in trouble.
After a shift trying to achieve the impossible – an empty ward – Jac finally accepts Sacha as her friend.
