When Darren sees Rhys talking to India he spots an opportunity to cause trouble. With Rhys and India chatting over the other side of the room, Darren suggests to Josh that there might be something going on between them. Josh becomes suspicious, unaware that India is talking about how much she likes Josh, and after a few too many drinks goes to confront Rhys. Rhys ridicules Josh for being so stupid making Josh lash out. Josh throws a punch at Rhys, who ducks out of the way leaving India in the firing line.

(Episode 2757)
Josh apologises to Rhys for his drunken behaviour over India, before heading to halls where a hostile reception awaits him. India complains he’s a mess after a few drinks; however, she finally accepts his apology and agrees to a date. At The Loft, India’s impressed when Josh announces he’s only having one drink. Rhys ridicules Josh for this and as he gets the next round in, he can’t resist asking the barman to throw a double vodka into his glass. As India and Josh finally kiss, Rhys hands Josh another drink and from the glint in his eye, we realise there’s more vodka involved. With word of an after party and under the impression he is sober, Josh volunteers to drive. The students leave Rhys behind and it’s left to Charlotte to break the news that Josh has jumped in his car and is driving Sasha, India and Dave. As he runs out to try and stop Josh, Rhys is horrified when he realises he’s too late…
Carmel’s excited for her ‘Champers and Pampers’ event, however Jacqui and Theresa’s bickering over Kathleen is taking the shine off her preparations. Zak’s in Michaela’s bad books after he forgot to send her a Valentine’s card. Unable to see what the fuss is about, it soon becomes clear when he sees her shredding his four foot card from her. Theresa’s unimpressed with Kathleen and wants to know why she’s so horrible and can’t just apologise to Myra. Clearly upset, Theresa maintains all she wants is for her mum to be there for her.
This appears to strike a chord with Kathleen and she stuns Theresa and tells her she wants them both to move to London. Seducing Theresa with tales of how good life will be, Kathleen is put out when Theresa admits she’ll miss her family and friends. Unprepared to back down, Kathleen puts Theresa on the spot when she tells her it’s decision time - London or the McQueens...? Zak’s still wondering what he has to do to gain favour with Michaela. Coerced into being the waiter for the evening in Evissa, Zak realises he’s no match for the McQueen girls and complies to their wishes, while upstairs, Theresa secretly prepares to leave her family for London…
A hungover Nancy wakes to find Des has moved himself into her flat. With no recollection, Nancy’s embarrassed to find herself in this predicament and it’s not long before personalities begin to clash. Elliot is the first to throw a tantrum before flouncing off, bemoaning that he needs peace and quiet to concentrate on his dissertation. Nancy attempts to apologise, but a passing Kris joins them and is soon bickering with Nancy. Elliot, fit to explode, snaps his laptop shut and leaves them to it, leaving a sheepish Nancy to reflect on how she ended up in this mess. Elliot and Des are getting on swimmingly as they settle into domesticity. Agreeing that Nancy is the problem, Des suggests there’s unfinished business with Kris and suggests they lure Nancy and Kris to the Champers and Pampers event to see if it can’t be resolved. Kris is up for a massage and agrees to meet them at Evissa. With both Kris and Nancy determined to prove they’re coping with the break up, we’re left wondering what the evening holds in store…

(Episode 2758)
Rhys frantically attempts to get hold of Josh but his phone keeps going straight to voicemail. Finally discovering where the party is, Rhys faces a race against time to reach Josh before disaster strikes. Meanwhile, Josh cruises along; unaware he's over the limit. It's clear to Sasha and Dave that Josh and India are now an 'item' and they find themselves the victims of gentle ribbing from their friends. Stopping for a loo break, Dave and Josh leave the girls and they become aware of Josh's phone ringing. India's on the verge of answering Rhys' call when Josh tells her to ignore him - it's about time he finds his own friends. They're soon on their way again and a distracted Josh catches India's eye in his rear view mirror. Unaware he's crossed a junction; he looks up in horror and slams on the brakes as the car spins out of control before coming to a shuddering halt.
Relieved they've all escaped without injury; they're unprepared for the car coming from the opposite direction which ploughs straight into them. Arriving at the scene, Rhys discovers the mangled wreck of his brother's car. Managing to pull a disoriented Josh and Dave from the wreck, he goes back for Sasha and it's only then that he sees India, unconscious in the back. Struggling to get her out, Rhys realises with horror that a pool of petrol is beginning to snake across the road. He escapes in the nick of time, with India in his arms as the flames explode above them. As the ambulance takes India away, Rhys is choked with guilt when Josh fails a breathalyser test and is bundled into a police car…
Carmel's fretting that no one will turn up to her Champers and Pampers event in Evissa. Jacqui tries to allay her fears, while an embarrassed Zak dreads his debut as a topless waiter. Theresa's plans for leaving are discovered by Anita. Hinting that Kathleen is hardly reliable compared to Myra causes Theresa to become defensive, maintaining she wants to be with her mum. The girls are sent into a panic when Jacqui arrives home unexpectedly. Scrambling to hide her suitcase under the bed, they barely succeed when Theresa spots Kathleen's purse. Grabbing it, Theresa opens it up and finds herself looking at a credit card in the name of Tina McQueen!
Devastated that her mum could betray her, Theresa's heartbroken when Jacqui demands to know what's going on. Lying to protect her mum holds no sway with Jacqui and she immediately susses that Kathleen is involved. Offering to sort her out once and for all, Jacqui relents when Theresa insists it's her problem and she'll deal with it herself. Theresa arrives at the salon and Myra's perturbed by her mood. Heading off to meet Kathleen, Theresa lambasts her for stealing Tina's identity; however, once again she finds herself falling for her mum's false words of love. About to leave Hollyoaks, Myra and Jacqui's arrival halts them in their tracks. Myra's devastated that her own sister could stoop so low and before long, the sisters are brawling in the village. Eventually separated, Kathleen's furious when Theresa chooses to stay with Myra and the girls. A devastated Theresa lays the blame with Myra and Jacqui as we wonder if she'll ever forgive them for their part in the demise of her relationship with Kathleen…?

(Episode 2759)
After being arrested for drink driving, Josh has a lot of questions he needs to answer. He is left reeling when he is told he faces a charge of death by dangerous driving as India is critical. The results from his second breathalyzer confirm he was over the limit. With a helpless Josh realising he's in big trouble, a guilty Rhys can only watch on as things go from bad to worse. A frantic Suzanne and Neville arrive at the station and, although they're relieved Josh is ok, they are gobsmacked to hear he was drinking. Josh is desperate to know how India is, but after hearing he's being charged, a furious Suzanne walks away, unable to be around him. Rhys and Josh arrive at the hospital, bumping into Leo, Sasha and Dave.
All are grateful to Rhys, believing he saved them from the crash but as Josh admits he’s being charged for drink driving, concern quickly turns to anger. Josh turns to Dave for support but it's soon clear that, he too, has his doubts over Josh's innocence. Rhys is struggling with his guilt and visits India, but on hearing that there's a risk of brain damage, he feels worse and has to leave. A livid Suzanne is still trying to come to terms with what's happened and quizzes Josh further. He admits it's all a bit hazy which only riles her further and she leaves everyone stunned by telling him she's ashamed to be his mum. Admitting how scared he is, Josh is grateful when Rhys insists on staying with him, not realising his brother is hiding his own guilt.
A suspicious Anita is sure that Ricky is hiding something from her and is determined to find out what. Duncan, however, doesn't suspect a thing and as his obsession with Suzanne grows, he reveals to Ricky a pair of her knickers he's stolen. The jovial pair are soon interrupted by Anita who, noticing Ricky has bruises on his arm and as been off school, wants to answers. Ricky's mood quickly changes and struggling with an excuse, he abruptly leaves. Anita decides to follow him and as she watches him pull a wad of money from his pocket, she can only think of one explanation - Ricky's into drugs. Certain this must be the answer but needing more evidence, Anita continues to follow Ricky home. As she looks through his window, Anita is horrified to see syringes on a table. Ricky catches her looking but she runs away before he can stop her. Shocked by her discovery, Anita reveals to a dumbfounded Duncan exactly what she saw in Ricky's house.
Theresa’s gutted following her mum’s departure and angry over Jacqui’s interference. Myra apologises to her but insists Theresa made the best decision. Jacqui, however, shows no sympathy and acts like nothing happened which only darkens Theresa's mood. Carmel berates Jacqui for being so insensitive in her handling of the situation but a stubborn Jacqui refuses to accept she was in the wrong. Annoyed that she also ruined her event at Evissa, Carmel and Jacqui end up arguing and it's left to Myra to intervene. Although she still stands by her decision, Jacqui starts to feel slightly guilty, seeing the error in her ways. She tries to talk to Theresa but is surprised to see she's been crying and it hits home just how upset she really is. With Myra's encouragement, Jacqui eventually apologises to Theresa but she's not interested. Theresa hates what her mum did to the family but she still wants to be part of her life but Jacqui's now ruined any hopes of that happening.
