Tony tries to restrain her but Cindy tells him to let her go and she runs off. Loretta discovers Holly hiding in the skate park and convinces her to give her family another go. Just as Holly is ready to come home, Cindy catches up with them and undoes all Loretta's good work, as she lays into Holly for running off.

Dave tries to defend Josh but Sasha makes it clear that she's drawing a line and he'll have to choose a side. Charlotte tells Dave that Josh has to move out, and Dave should be the one to tell him.

Tony and Cindy fear that Dominic could be the secret blogger ruining their businesses. Tony wishes there was another explanation but ‘Scarlet’ seems to know too much about the inner workings of Il Gnosh. Dominic meanwhile is busy testing out his new chilli sauce on Theresa, but Tony’s annoyed that he’s left the sauce out unchilled which could cause them to be shut down. Tony suspects Dominic of being Scarlet, but Cindy spots Theresa sneakily using a laptop and decides it’s probably her. Dominic offers Tony a chilli chocolate. Tony’s impressed, and is convinced this product will turn his fortunes around. Dominic’s left irked that Tony’s taking the credit for his creation. Nancy shows up at Il Gnosh and before she knows it, Tony has roped her and Steph into dressing in samba girl costumes to promote the chilli chocolate launch, with promises of freebies.

Tony catches Theresa typing on the laptop again but is shocked to discover she’s been posting on a missing persons website, desperately trying to find her mum. Holly wanders through the village feeling miserable as Tony comforts Theresa. He insists he’ll always be there for her. Theresa’s grateful and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Holly misinterprets this and threatens to tell Cindy. Tony’s stern and shouts at Holly, causing her to bite his hand and run away in anger. Holly returns home and phones Cindy, but is hurt when she’s too busy to talk. Holly promptly packs her bag with food and runs away from home.

Dave sides with Charlotte as she supports India and throws Josh out of halls.

Duncan passes a note to Ricky in class and lands him in trouble with Des. Duncan feels guilty that Ricky won’t be able to help his dad so goes to his house to help out. Duncan shows up at Ricky’s house and lies to Martin that he’s there to wait for Ricky. It’s awkward at first between Duncan and Martin, as Martin pretends not to be ill. The pair bond as Martin offers to cook him dinner. However, when Martin reaches for the ketchup, he struggles and falls. Duncan panics as Martin lies on the floor, unable to get up. In the midst of a mood swing, Martin grabs Duncan and warns him to keep this secret. Duncan sheepishly helps Martin get back in his chair. Ricky returns home. Angry to find Duncan with Martin, Ricky throws him out.

When the police catch up with Jake and Loretta they are surprised when it is Loretta they want to question because of her friendship with Holly.

Jake was convinced his history would lead the police to him but plays the supportive boyfriend. Theresa worries to Tony that their moment together was the reason Holly ran away. Tony firmly warns her that there is nothing going on between them. Meanwhile Cindy asks for Loretta’s opinion of her as a mother, still worried that she is to blame for Holly running away. They both enjoy acting up and Lauren feels amorous when they are alone. However the moment is ruined when Spencer crashes in on them. Lauren has to lie it is a game she plays with Sasha. When Sasha finds out the mp3 player is gone, she tries to get one up on Lauren by pretending she’s had to call the police about the theft. Ste explains he will probably lie about his parents when his children ask after them. Newt grows jealous of Ste and Rae’s closeness. As the Osbornes prepare to join the search for Holly, Jake is worried when the police ask him to go in for a chat. Having seen the police, Jake returns to the search where Darren does his usual insensitive best to rile him, talking about the parallels the police must be drawing from Jake’s past. Jake turns to Loretta for support and she does her best to reassure him that it'll be fine. She encourages him to be completely honest with her and Jake worries that Loretta believes he may have actually kidnapped Holly.

Tony tries his best to give Cindy hope that Holly will soon be found but she can't help fearing the worst. They are introduced to their family liaison officer, who encourages them to televise an appeal for Holly. Rae confronts Newt about it and he vehemently denies ever making a claim over her, remarking that it was just a joke. Rae doesn't see it that way and lets it be known to Ste and Newt that they are definitely not involved. Newt strikes out at both of them for playing games when Holly is missing and storms out. When Ste misguidedly asks her out, Rae chases after Newt, demanding to know where he gets off warning people away from her. Newt repeats that it was all just banter but Rae is unsatisfied, so Newt is forced to reveal Ste's violent past. When Rae confronts Ste about it, he covers just how wounded he is by delegating cleaning jobs between Newt and Rae.
