Monday 22nd March 2010
(Episode 2781)

As Ste and the kids walk Amy to work they’re disturbed to spot a figure sleeping in the bushes, and even more so when a homeless Josh emerges! Amy heads off to work leaving the boys in the park. Momentarily distracted by a phone call, Ste loses sight of Leah. He starts to panic, just as Josh arrives with Leah in hand. Ste lashes out, thinking the worst, until he realises that Josh found her and was only returning her. The lads have a heart to heart, and softening to his feckless rival, Ste invites Josh to stay with him and Amy. Amy’s surprised to find Josh in the flat when she gets home, but pleased that the boys seem to have buried the hatchet for now!

As press attention and public interest in the Find Holly campaign begin to wane, Cindy becomes desperate. When a card arrives at her door from a local psychic she can’t help but be intrigued. As Tony and Frankie return to the flat to pick up more leaflets for the campaign, they find Cindy packing Holly’s clothes into bin bags. They’re concerned to hear about her visit to the psychic, but even more worried by the news that the death card made an appearance in the tarot reading. Convinced this is a sign that the worst has happened to Holly, Cindy despairs and no amount of consolation can help her. As Tony tries to make sense of what Cindy’s going through, a call from the police distracts him; Holly’s jacket has been found with a recent bus ticket in the pocket! The phone call restores some optimism but raises the question; if Holly is still alive, where is she?

There’s a mysterious presence watching Jake’s every move as he goes about his business in the village. When Loretta makes herself known, Jake is shocked and angry at her return. She begs him to forgive her, explaining how hard it was for her when Jake was accused of taking Holly. Jake listens, but will he be convinced by what she has to say?

Rae is composing her last will and testament as Newt pays her a visit. As she rushes to hide her note-book, Newt becomes intrigued. In turn, she tries to catch a glimpse of his graphic novel, but he’s quick to hide it. Two can play at that game. They eventually make a pact – he’ll show her his drawings if he can see her note-book. Newt is astonished to see it’s a will she’s been writing and tries to make light of the situation hoping she’ll forget about the curse she fears so much. The shock is sweetened, however, when he discovers she intends to leave her CD collection to him. Does this mean that she likes him?
