Monday 10th May 2010
(Episode 2816)

Cheryl returns from Spain with tales aplenty but is left gobsmacked at the atmosphere between Sasha and Lauren, especially when a jibe about Warren finds Lauren on the receiving end of a slap. Sasha admits to Calvin how rubbish she feels for framing Gaz, and decides to retract her statement. Meanwhile, Cheryl is coming to terms with an agitated Lauren's 'pregnancy' and listens when she lambasts her family - all she wants is Gaz. Sasha tells Lauren that she's retracted her statement to make amends, but they're still arguing when Calvin interrupts them with Gaz in tow. Lauren's thrilled but still angry at Calvin, as is Sasha, but nevertheless they agree to listen to his plea for them to keep him in their lives. Buoyed by his sisters' reaction, Calvin's happier than he's been for a long time…

Duncan feels like an outsider in Ricky's life now Kris is helping out at home. At school, Kris is surprised to see Zak talking to Des and wonders what he's up to. Unaware that Zak's panicking about his attack on Tariq, Des blags that he's thinking of organising a five aside, but Kris remains suspicious. Looking to discredit Kris, Des overhears a disgruntled Duncan refer to him as Ricky's 'boyfie'. Cogs whirring, Des admonishes Kris, stating staff should maintain a professional relationship with students. Kris is outraged by Des' inference, but forgets it all when Ricky confides in him about his fall out with Duncan. Putting a friendly arm around Ricky's shoulders is too much of a photo opportunity for a watching Des to miss… as well as sending Calvin a threatening text, he captures the tender moment between Kris and Duncan perfectly…

Steph attempts to help Jake get work and tells him about a gardening job at Hollyoaks High. Hearing that Jake has an interview at the school, Steph's optimistic that the job has Jake's name written all over it. Waiting for his interview, Jake finds himself chatting to Leo, who has no qualms in pointing out his past history - surely it must affect his job opportunities...? As Jake's paranoia grows, he jumps up and flees the school, convinced he'll always be a leper in peoples' eyes. Meanwhile, Cheryl's supportive when she hears Jem found Steph's letter declaring her undying love for Gilly. Vowing to help her in her quest for love falls on deaf ears as an agitated Steph wants to forget all about Gilly… or does she?


Tuesday 11th May 2010
(Episode 2817)

Anita panics when Ravi tells her Dom’s coming into Relish to check the accounts. Knowing there’s three hundred pounds missing, she begins to worry. Anita makes out that Dom is trying to undermine Ravi, but unfortunately for Anita, Ravi doesn’t take the bait. As Dom checks over the accounts he notices there’s a gap. Dom tells Ravi that someone has been stealing from the till. The pair confront Anita and Ste and automatically assume Ste’s responsible. Angry at being wrongly accused, Ste storms out, resigning from his job. Anita finally confesses that she was the one who stole the money.

It’s Cindy’s birthday and Tony has a special lunch arranged. However Cindy wants to do anything but spend time with Tony and tries everything she can to avoid it. When she realises there’s no way of getting out of it she goes along, but things don’t go as Tony hoped. Cindy is distracted by Darren who infuriates Tony and when Ste asks Tony for a job, Cindy accuses him of using the lunch to do business. Tony storms out leaving Cindy alone with Darren. Darren can’t believe his luck when he is propositioned by Cindy. Cindy goes home with Darren, leaving Tony at home babysitting.


Wednesday 12th May 2010
(Episode 2818)

Cindy wakes up in Darren’s bed. When Tony finds her hiding from him in Il Gnosh he knows exactly what she’s been up to and he’s upset to see she’s not wearing her wedding ring. As Cindy tries on dresses in Cincerity, Darren comes to return her misplaced ring and they’re soon back in the throws of passion. A devastated Tony catches them out and flips, punching Darren, before walking out. Darren assumes things are back on with him and Cindy but she has other plans, she’s seen a glimpse of her future without Tony and doesn’t want to lose him. Cindy pleads with Tony and he eventually forgives her, but for now he is keeping his distance.

All Carmel can think about is the wedding as her nuptials draw closer. Calvin, however, has other things on his mind with the threats hanging over him and is instantly suspicious when he gets a call from a mystery supplier asking to meet him in a hotel. Des, meanwhile, is getting frustrated that the threats don’t seem to be working and suggests to Zak that they try a different tact and use Carmel to get to Calvin. Zak’s uncomfortable with the idea at first, but seeing Calvin snap at Carmel, he thinks Des’ plan isn’t so bad after all.

Anita stumbles upon a forlorn looking Theresa in the skate park. Theresa seems distant and preoccupied and so Anita tries to talk to her. As Anita tries to comfort her, Theresa lets slip what is really bothering her. Anita’s shocked to discover Theresa’s pregnant.


Thursday 13th May 2010
(Episode 2819)

After a night of passion with Mercedes, Calvin’s got a tough decision to make when she insists if he really wants to stop the threats he should do what they say – and not marry Carmel, marry her instead! Calvin’s torn, but eventually decides he wants to be with Mercedes and the pair head off to end their relationships. Malachy’s already suspicious and when he receives a message from Mercedes saying they need to talk, he instantly knows she’s trying to end things between them and goes out of his way to avoid it happening. Calvin can’t bear to spoil Carmel’s happiness when he sees her with Tom and as they plan their future together, Mercedes has no idea Calvin’s going back on his word. But how will she react when she finds out Calvin’s going ahead with his marriage to Carmel?

Steph’s longing for Gilly, but she’s awkward around him, not knowing whether he’s read the letter she wrote declaring her love for him. She’s heartbroken when she discovers he’s moving away to Thailand with Jem and, seeing how much he means to her, Frankie encourages Steph to tell Gilly how she feels. Steph’s reluctant at first, but buoyed by her mum’s enthusiasm, Steph heads off to do just that. Steph’s heart’s racing as she comes face to face with Gilly in The Dog, but she’s mortified when she blurts out her feelings in front of everyone and quickly flees, as Gilly’s left shocked by the revelation.

Des encourages Zak to go ahead with their plan to put the frighteners on Carmel and stop her marrying Calvin. Zak’s not sure they’re doing the right thing, but convinced by Des it’s in Carmel’s best interests, he agrees to go along with it. Before they can put their plan into action, Zak’s roped in to doing a family tree with Carmel and Tom, and feeling guilty, he forces Des to call off the attack.

A guilty Rhys tries to get Neville to drop the charges against Josh, but he won’t budge. Seeing Josh so downhearted, Rhys tries to help his brother and gets him a job in The Loft. Josh is thrilled and hopes things are looking up, but Rhys is concerned when he sees his brother drinking on the job.


Friday 14th May 2010
(Episode 2820)

Malachy’s keeping out of Mercedes’ way, knowing she’s trying to break up with him, and confides in Kris, unable to cope. Gaz is fuming when he bumps into Calvin and his mate on a night out and Calvin humiliates him. Goaded by Calvin, Gaz attacks him and finds himself under arrest. Sasha and Lauren witness the whole thing and, sick of Calvin messing with people’s lives, the girls want nothing more to do with him and refuse to attend the wedding. Mercedes is frustrated, not knowing if Calvin’s ended things with Carmel, and heads out to look for him, but to her surprise and horror she finds him sat drinking in The Loft with Carmel and Malachy and can’t believe he’s chosen Carmel over her. But Mercedes isn’t about to let Calvin off lightly and makes him sweat as she tells Carmel she can’t marry him, before leaving Calvin to explain. Calvin discovers the gun has gone from the safe, but who has taken it?

Gilly’s angry at Steph for trying to ruin the best thing that’s ever happened to him by declaring she’s in love with him in front of Jem. Gilly goes round to confront Steph and demands an explanation. Steph insists he’ll never understand but Gilly knows exactly how she feels and marches her round to Drive ‘n’ Buy to prove it. Steph’s overwhelmed when she realises Gilly once felt the same, but he doesn’t believe that she really loves him and isn’t prepared to jeopardise what he’s got with Jem because of her. Steph’s left heartbroken when Gilly goes back to Jem.

Josh is crushed when Calvin catches him helping himself to the optics on his first shift in The Loft and sacks him on the spot. Rhys begs Calvin to reconsider, but reminded of the danger Josh put Sasha in under the influence of drink in the car crash, Calvin’s adamant he’s out. Feeling responsible for his part in Josh’s downfall, Rhys confesses he spiked Josh’s drink on the night of the car crash and struggles to keep it together as the pressure from the past few months catches up with him.

Theresa and Michaela mess around, trying on Carmel’s wedding dress, but they’re horrified when they spill red wine all over it and desperately try to get it out without being seen. After a number of failed attempts, the girls resort to desperate measures to get the stain out…
