Monday 31st May 2010

Malachy tries to convince the police he’s Calvin’s murderer. Mercedes urges Jacqui to turn Theresa in. The police grow suspicious of Malachy’s incredulous story – is he just trying to protect his wife? With his brother prepared to take the rap for something he didn’t do, Kris and Mercedes come to blows. When Malachy breaks them up, Kris is left facing an ugly fact – Malachy is still trying to protect Mercedes, despite all she’s done. Malachy’s expecting gratitude from Mercedes, but gets a short, sharp slap. If Malachy thinks Mercedes is the killer who wiped out Calvin, is this the end for them?

Loretta makes Jake jump through hoops to please her – he slept with Caroline and needs to make things up. Jake does his romantic best to impress. He thinks he’s won Loretta round when she sneaks off to look at flats. He’s surprised to find Loretta in a heated argument with estate agent, Adam, and then amazed to see Adam push Loretta away. Convinced Adam is a psycho stalker, Jake sees red. Will poor deluded Jake find out what’s really going on?

Ste watches Olly and Amy wander round half-naked and jealously tries to spoil their fun.

Jake tries to convince Loretta to shop stalker Adam to the police. He’s confused when she fobs him off. Jake sneaks Adam’s number from Loretta’s mobile and hunts the creep down. But when Jake hears Adam’s side of the story, he’s shocked to learn that Loretta’s not telling the whole truth. With Loretta’s dark jealously growing, does Jake need to watch his back?

Jacqui pressures Theresa to make a decision about Calvin’s baby – is she having it or not? When confused Theresa wavers, Jacqui takes the decision out of her hands and books an appointment at an abortion clinic. Desperate and isolated, Theresa turns to an unlikely ally for help.

Lauren worries over Leo – Calvin’s death has hit him hard. Gaz dodges capture and urges Lauren to go on the run. Lauren is torn – she loves Gaz, but can she leave her grieving dad?

Darren does his best to help Josh face his sentence but doesn’t pull his punches: life in Her Majesty’s prisons is hell. As reality dawns, Josh is horrified by what he faces inside.

Tom warns Gilly to treat Steph right. Meanwhile, Steph gets some shocking news about her health. Gilly tries to persuade Neville to go and see Josh – he could get sent down this week. Neville is cold and dismissive: his son got behind the wheel of a car drunk. Darren grows concerned as Neville and Suzanne row over Josh and Suzanne hits the bottle. But will Darren say ‘no’ when sexy Suzanne turns her attentions on him and offers him a glass…or two?

At Kyle’s flat, Theresa refuses to go home to the McQueens’. Kyle puts it simply – if Theresa wants to use Kyle’s pad as a doss house, she can start to pay her way.

Jake wonders if he’s worrying unnecessarily about Loretta. On the face of it, she’s the perfect girlfriend, yet his niggling suspicions won’t go away. Jake tries to buy some time by dodging questions about getting a flat with Loretta. Seeing Loretta’s disappointment, Frankie comes up with a quick and ideal solution – Loretta will move in with them!

Ste is confident that ardent Olly is getting nowhere with Amy. Until Olly decides to get Amy drunk…

Steph tries to comes to terms with the news about her health. Confused by her sudden coolness, Gilly fears she’s missing Max. But Steph can’t bring herself to tell Gilly the truth, so pushes him away.

Jake asks himself the burning question – is Loretta controlling him? Loretta’s ex-boyfriend Adam shows up and warns Jake that she’s dangerous – he should steer clear. But as the scales fall away from Jake’s eyes, Loretta makes herself at home at the Osbornes’. With his concerns about possessive Loretta falling on deaf ears, what’s Jake going to do?

Josh dismally contemplates the charges he’s facing in court tomorrow – they’re certain to bang him up. Dave announces that, as it’s Josh’s last day of freedom, they’re going to have some fun…

Amy panics that Olly is getting frustrated with her – they haven’t slept together yet. Ste is quick to remind her that she’s not ready, so Olly must wait! With Ste scheduled to work all evening, Olly promises a seething Ste that tonight’s the night. Intent on stopping Olly from bedding Amy, Ste changes his shift. But Olly sneaks out and shuts Ste in Relish’s walk-in fridge. As Ste starts to shiver, things hot up between Amy and Olly. But when Amy realises she’s still not ready for sex, will Olly stop to listen?


Friday 4th June 2010
(Episode 2835)

Amy tries to convince Olly she’s not ready to sleep with him, but Olly turns vicious – he’s not taking ‘no’ for an answer.

Theresa has outstayed her welcome at hard-nut Kyle’s. As she dodges questions about the McQueen’s involvement in Calvin’s murder, Kyle announces that the gang member he got the gun from wants it back. Kyle threatens Theresa to find out where the missing gun is, or she’s going to get badly hurt.

The Ashworths are on edge, anticipating Josh’s dreaded court case. Meanwhile, Josh turns up at Darren’s flat drunk. Darren has to try to sober him up and get him to the court on time. Once there, Josh bravely refuses his family’s help. He takes a last long look at his family and friends and disappears inside the court. Rhys guilt consumes him as he waits on Josh’s fate. Darren tries to comfort a distressed Suzanne but overplays his hand.

Ricky panics to Kris that he’s messing up – his dad’s in pain and he can’t help. Kris urges Martin to come clean to Ricky and tell him that he’s getting worse. Martin refuses to foul up Ricky’s GCSEs and begs Kris for drastic help.
