(Episode 2846)

Tony heroically rushes into action, helping the woman he just saw hit by a car. He learns she’s Gabby Sharpe; a mother with two children. After Gabby is taken to hospital, Tony finds her mobile phone, ringing in the gutter and ends up meeting Amber, Gabby’s daughter. Amber’s not pleased to be with Tony, but he does his best to be kind to her. When her brother Taylor shows up, Amber breaks away from Tony. However Gabby asks Tony to stay with her kids and make sure they’re safe. Tony is left wondering what’s going on with this family. Tony takes the kids back home only to discover all their belongings gone. It looks like they’ve been burgled!

Rhys does his best to smooth tensions between Suzanne and Neville. However Neville manages to make things worse by falling off a ladder. Now Suzanne and Rhys have their work cut out for them running the pub and looking after a laid up Nev. Darren sees an opportunity and offers to help. He knows exactly what he’s doing as he flirts with Suzanne, whilst Neville is upstairs with his back out. Suzanne ends up ignoring her husband, to spend more time with Darren. Are these two about to repeat their antics at the wedding?

As Newt struggles to explain Rae’s curse to Frankie, he gets inspired. He tells Rae he’s cancelled it. They simply won’t celebrate it. Rae’s unconvinced that will work, but before Newt can reason with her they are both shocked by a surprise arrival; Newt’s mum Shelley…and Newt’s new baby brother! Newt has to leave Rae to fend for herself while he catches up with his mother and gets to know baby Jensen. Newt’s delighted to learn Shelley’s off the drugs and looking to start over with him. Rae’s less happy; now she’s got to compete for Newt’s attention.

With Tony in North Wales looking for a new home and business for him, Cindy and Holly, Cindy and Dom bicker over the running of Gnosh. When Dom lets Elliot work as a waiter, Cindy complains that he’s not good-looking enough to work front of house. Can these two reach a compromise?

Tuesday 22nd June 2010
(Episode 2847)

Tony’s caught trying to leave chocolates for Gabby. Gabby thinks she’s the one who should be thanking Tony. As they get to know more about one another it’s clear they’ve got chemistry. Tony tells Gabby about the break in, it clearly comes as no surprise. Gabby asks him to do her one last favour; retrieve a note she left for her husband. Tony can tell there’s more to this than Gabby’s letting on. Against his better judgement, Tony agrees to help but is nearly caught out by Gabby’s daughter, Amber. When Tony gets the letter back to Gabby, she finally tells him the truth about the empty house, and her husband.

Darren warns Newt not to treat his flat like a hotel. He doesn’t want Newt to get his hopes up about Shelley. She has a history of letting him down. Newt tries to tell him she’s changed. Rae’s also concerned for Newt, and tells Jack and Frankie that Shelley‘s back. Frankie calls in on Newt, Jensen and Shelley, and is quick to judge her. Shelley explains her plans for a new home, with Newt. He’s elated at the thought, but Frankie warns him to keep his guard up. Shelley thinks she and Newt should celebrate their new start and she sends him out to get takeaway. When Newt returns, he’s shocked to find it was all a ruse. Shelley’s gone and left him holding the baby.

Rhys realises he has to do something about Neville and Suzanne. They’re practically at each other’s throats. Meanwhile, Darren continues to charm Suzanne right under their noses. Rhys tells Suzanne he’s got a surprise planned; a romantic dinner for her and Neville. Suzanne’s reluctant, but doesn’t want to disappoint Rhys. However Neville is still demanding about his bad back, and Suzanne feels jealous, knowing Darren is behind the bar flirting with Cindy. She tells Rhys next time he wants to help, he shouldn’t bother. The night’s a disaster.

Cindy gets Dom’s back up by calling his food bland. She thinks Il Gnosh needs a signature dish to attract customers from far and wide. She’s determined to increase profits before Tony returns home. Meanwhile, Ste winds up Elliot, implying his education isn’t worth anything in the real world. Elliot’s determined to set Ste straight, and gets to work brewing strange ingredients in a makeshift kitchen laboratory. He comes up with ‘The Planets’, a strange dessert meant to be eaten in a particular sequence. Cindy’s proud to herald Elliot as creator of Gnosh’s signature dish…another victory over Dom.

(Episode 2848)

Darren gets the cold shoulder from Suzanne. She’s jealous over his flirting with Cindy yesterday. When Cindy stops by to promote her new chef, she gets a short shrift from Suzanne. Darren finally twigs something is up but so does Rhys. He confronts Darren, letting him know he’ll keep a close eye on him. While Rhys takes Nev to the doctors, Darren makes a move on Suzanne but gets a slap. Suzanne’s not playing second fiddle to Cindy. Darren tells her Cindy knocked him back, Suzanne regrets letting on how she felt. Darren makes the most of the admission and makes another play for her. Suzanne responds in kind, unaware that someone’s returning to the flat and they’re about to be caught in the act!

Newt and Rae are shattered from looking after baby Jensen all night. It’s causing friction between the couple. Newt doesn’t tell Darren that Shelley’s gone; he’s in denial about being abandoned again. Rae tries to reason with Newt, but holds back, not wanting to upset him. Jack ends up lending Newt a hand with the baby. Unaware that Shelley’s done a bunk, Jack warns Newt not to let his mum take advantage. Frankie soon gets to the bottom of things and finds out Shelley’s done a runner. She decides to call Social Services.

Tony’s quick to judge Gabby for trying to run out on her husband, Phil. He doesn’t think much of the way she’s tried to sneak off while he’s away, leaving her kids in the dark. It’s clear he doesn’t know the full story, but Gabby’s reluctant to tell him the truth. Tony ends up walking out on Gabby. When Tony finds Taylor, let down by his father, he agrees to let him skip school. Instead Tony treats Taylor to a cookery lesson and they begin to bond. Tony fishes about Phil and discovers more about Gabby’s marriage. Tony returns to Gabby and tries to make up for their row earlier. Tony really wants to look after her; Gabby’s not used to being cared for. As the two grow closer, Tony ends up ignoring a message from Cindy.

Cindy hopes to make the most of Elliot’s new culinary genius. She’s thinking of taking him to work in Wales at Tony’s new restaurant. Dom’s so fed up with the way Cindy thinks she can run things, he tries to have it out in front of the customers.

Thursday 24th June 2010
(Episode 2849)

When Tony finds Gabby’s bed empty, he fears she’s done a runner again. However she’s just stretching her legs. It’s hard enough for her to walk, let alone discharge herself and disappear. Tony and Gabby share an intimate moment – despite the short time they’ve known each other, they share real feelings for one another. Gabby lets on that she’s never been unfaithful to husband, Phil, but before Tony can find out if that’s about to change, Gabby collapses. Tony’s stressed for her, and when Cindy tries to talk to him, he’s distracted and practically ignores her. It turns out Gabby collapsed from exhaustion. She’s over-exerted herself. Nevertheless Tony is far more interested in her well-being than he is of Cindy’s. When Gabby asks if she can be with him when she leaves hospital, Tony tells her yes.

Newt tries to stop Frankie calling Social Services. He doesn’t want Jensen to get pushed from house to house like he was. Rae intervenes, asking Frankie for just one more night together for her, Newt and the baby. Newt starts to realise he’s been in denial about Shelley. He wants to give Jensen a better chance in life than he had. Rather than let Social Services take Jensen, Newt plans to run away with him. Rae hopes to talk Newt out of it, but he won’t be put off. He’s going to leave, with or without Rae.

Rhys is mortified to catch Suzanne and Darren tearing each other’s clothes off. Within seconds, Darren finds himself under attack from the angry Ashworth. Suzanne manages to break them up. Rhys is in utter contempt for them both, and it looks like he might tell Neville about the affair…

Cindy’s making headway on plans for Tony to adopt Holly. Dom’s troubled by this, he thinks Cindy’s playing with Tony’s feelings, and now Holly’s too. He doesn’t think Cindy is the type to stick around. She’ll get Tony’s hopes up and then swan off as soon as another poor sucker shows up. Cindy calls Tony for comfort, but he’s distant and uninterested. Instead she stands up for herself with Dom, and admits Tony was the best thing that ever happened to her. She’s not going to run off with any Tom, Dick or Harry that comes along, because she loves her husband. As far as she’s concerned, Tony saved her life. Dom wonders if he’s got Cindy wrong.

Friday 25th June 2010
(Episode 2850)

Tony can’t quite believe he’s about to embark on a new life with Gabby. They both think they’re finally with someone who cares. Gabby worries he’s going to break someone’s heart, but Tony clearly doesn’t think that of Cindy. Tony’s optimism is shattered, however, when Gabby’s husband Phil turns up out of the blue. Tony takes an instant dislike to him. Gabby panics that Phil will find out she tried to do a flit, but luckily Tony returns all her stuff to her empty house. The two very nearly kiss, but Tony feels the timing is all wrong and Gabby knows she’s not strong enough to confront Phil and leave. Tony steels himself and lets Gabby go. It’s heartbreaking as Tony realises he will probably never see this woman again. But what future will he have with Cindy now he’s lost his true love?

Dom and Cindy are seemingly friends. It fuels Ste’s theory that their aggression all week was, in fact, sexual tension. Cindy asks Dom to help her out. Tony will need a character reference to adopt Holly, and she also wants Dom to help her cook a surprise Dinner for her husband. Cindy’s all set to welcome Tony home, when he returns with some shocking news.

It’s Rae’s birthday, the day she’s destined to die but she’s more concerned with Newt’s plans to run away with baby Jenson. Behind Newt’s back, Rae goes to see Jack and Frankie and tells them all about his plan. While Rae’s away, Newt gets an unexpected visitor. It’s Shelley. Turns out she didn’t do a runner after all – she went for an interview in Scotland and got the job. Newt decides to move to Scotland with Shelley and Jensen. He hopes Rae can come along too, but she’s been hit with some terrible news. Her grandma, Lily, has had a stroke! Can Rae chose between Newt and her family? Is this the end of love’s young dream?

Rhys enjoys putting the fear into Darren. Has he told Neville? When Neville tells Rhys he feels he needs to make things up to Suzanne, its Rhys’ turn to feel uncomfortable. Darren asks Suzanne if they are serious. She tells him getting involved with him was the biggest mistake she’s ever made. Unbeknownst to them both, Rhys listens in on the whole thing. He tells Suzanne she should let Neville know, but before she can make up her mind, Neville walks in on them. Suzanne is forced to come clean. She tells Neville everything.
