Monday 26th July 2010
(Episode 2871)

Seth and Riley ogle as Heidi’s cousin arrives at The Dog – it’s glam girl Mitzeee (aka Anne) and to the boys’ delight, she bags a bed at the Costello’s for the night. The last time Heidi thinks Carl saw ‘Mitzeee’ is at a wedding when she was a child – he won’t believe she’s here. Over a coffee, Carl tries to make amends with Jem, promising he won’t let her down again. Jem is dubious, but he works hard to bring her back round to giving him another chance. Carl promises he’ll never play away again…then arrives home where he is stunned to find sexy Mitzeee with Heidi.

Nancy can’t fathom what’s going on between Jake and Loretta – first Jake reckoned she was a psycho, now he’s following her around like a nervous puppy. Jake reveals all – Loretta’s convinced Frankie and Steph that he’s on the edge of a nervous breakdown. She stalked her ex-boyfriend, Adam and now she’s stalking him! Nancy decides to find out if Jake is telling the truth so tracks Loretta’s ex down. Little does Nancy know that Loretta is following her.

Kris feels adrift. Blogging isn’t satisfying his career aims and he’s short of cash when he gets a surprise call from an incongruous prospective employer. His mum has set up an interview for him – in a bank!

Kris hunts down Jake – Nancy said she’d be back ages ago, but she’s nowhere to be seen and she’s not answering her phone. Nancy is with Loretta. She’s bleeding from a head wound and feels dizzy. Jake panics – he knows Nancy was going off to see Adam, so what’s happened? Nancy tries to persuade Loretta that she won’t tell anyone what Loretta has done. Jake shows up and tries to persuade Loretta to let Nancy go. Cornered, Loretta reveals a dark secret that shocks Nancy and Jake. But now they know about Loretta’s past, can she allow them to leave?

Mitzeee loves the chaos she’s causing for Carl at The Dog – Heidi has no idea that Carl and Mitzeee have slept together. Carl’s amazed at Mitzeee. She knew that Carl was married to her cousin Heidi when she came on to him, whereas he had no idea who Mitzeee was. Heidi is unnerved when Mitzeee asks if Carl is behaving himself these days – once a player always a player. Now she’s upset Heidi, Mitzeee gets Carl alone and goes all out to seduce him.

Dom jumps out of his skin at Relish as someone smashes a window. He’s quick to accuse Ste. Dom’s left with egg on his face when the real culprit is revealed.

Kris refuses to don a suit for his job interview at the bank – if they want to employ him, they’ll take him in heels. He reports back to Zak that the interview was a disaster of his own making, but Kris is in for a shock when the bank calls.


Wednesday 28th July 2010

Michaela surprises Zak with some disturbing news – she’s got a Visiting Order to go and see Gaz. Zak tries to ban her from going, but Michaela won’t listen – she’s after a scoop. In prison, Gaz is adamant that the gun was planted on him. Michaela finds this laughable. Annoyed, she blurts out that Lauren has a blood clot. Assuming that Lauren was hurt in a racist attack, Gaz reveals who was behind it. Michaela is shocked to hear who the racist ringleader is. Zak tries to stop Michaela from investigating further, afraid she’ll discover his role in the events. Panicking, Zak tells Kris everything, but will he now tell Michaela the truth?

Steph prepares for her audition. She’s convinced that she’ll soon be a platinum-selling artist headlining at the Brits. She ropes Tom into appearing on stage with her. As an orphan child, he’ll lend weight to her cancer sob story. Frankie is convinced that super-stardom is Steph’s destiny, but Gilly winces as a badly off-key Steph takes to the stage…

Cheryl maintains that Heidi sacked her from The Dog because Carl was checking her out. Cindy is aggrieved – if anyone’s going to sink their claws into Carl it should be her. Cindy slinks into The Dog to have a cosy chat with Carl, businesswoman to businessman. But as Cheryl and Cindy vie for Carl’s attention, Carl has another woman on his mind.

Jem has a terse word with Carl. She saw him with Mitzeee and suspects he’s having an affair. Carl concocts an innocent story, but will suspicious Jem swallow it?


Thursday 29th July 2010
(Episode 2874)

Steph shudders over her audition failure and gives up on her showbiz dreams. She resigns herself to the fact that she’ll spend her last days making fruit shakes. Frankie’s worried to see her so down. Steph’s sickened to see Gilly cosying up with Carl Costello; now she’s failed her bid for stardom, Steph’s certain her fiancé will want Jem back. When Gilly comes to see Steph she assumes he’s here to dump her and gives him short shrift. To her surprise Gilly’s got a big question he wants to ask.

Michaela is working on a story about Des the racist, convinced this will make her name as a hot-shot journalist. Fearful that she’ll find out about his role in all this, Zak begs her to drop it, but Michaela won’t let it go. Kris knows that Des prayed on Zak when he was vulnerable, so is willing to stick by him, but he insists that Zak needs to tell Michaela all.

Elliot meets a friend called Kevin who claims to be an alien. To Elliot, he’s just a normal boy but the more Elliot learns about his mysterious new extra-terrestrial friend, the more intrigued he becomes…


Friday 30th July 2010
(Episode 2875)

Steph is confused about Gilly’s marriage proposal. Cheryl is ecstatic, but Steph admits she hasn’t said ‘yes’. Cheryl’s astounded to hear this – Steph’s got a man who loves the bones of her and she’s dithering about? Steph explains that she doesn’t trust Gilly’s motives. Perhaps he’s just marrying her to cheer her up. When Cheryl tells Gilly that Steph thinks he’s proposing out of pity, angry Gilly tells Steph exactly what he thinks of her!

At the McQueens’, Michaela tells Jacqui not to let Zak in; they’ve had a massive row. Unaware that the row is about him, Des urges Michaela to kiss and make up – Zak’s a decent lad. Michaela scoffs at Des - what does he know about decency? Confused that Michaela’s being so rude to Des, Jacqui slaps her down. To try to make amends for his bad behaviour, Zak promises Michaela he’ll get evidence on Des so that Michaela will get her story and Des will get arrested. Zak tapes a conversation with racist Des, takes it to Jacqui and presses play…

Kris puts a suit on, ready for his first day’s work at the bank. He’s just about to leave, when he gets an exciting call from Zoe with a dream job offer.
