Monday 13th September 2010
(Episode 2906)

Fresher’s week mayhem hits Hollyoaks. The new students get acquainted and settle into halls. As they all try to get the measure of each other, one thing’s for certain, this year is going to be an interesting one. Will this shape up to be the fresher’s year they’ve all dreamed of? Lee takes the time to catch up with Darren and learns the news of Steph’s terminal cancer, whilst a stressed out Leanne overhears the others bitching about her middle-aged ways and finds herself opening up to Doug.

Wanting desperately to do the proper student thing, Leanne acts on impulse and leans in to kiss Doug. Elsewhere, back from Barcelona Carmel finds the courage to make a move and kiss Brendan...


Tuesday 14th September 2010
(Episode 2907)

While Lee plans a treat with the funds from their new joint account, Leanne’s mind is on last night’s illicit kiss with Doug. Whilst a guilty Leanne approaches Doug and they agree that their kiss was a one-off, Lee heads out to buy a TV as a surprise for Leanne. But when Lee returns, Leanne’s furious that he’s made such an extravagant purchase with their money. Lee apologises for rashly purchasing the TV without consulting her and Leanne forgives him, deciding that now they’re even!

With Leanne’s guilt eased and Lee none the wiser, the happy couple set off for a night out with their friends. Meanwhile, Doug spots Kevin playing with his transmitter and decides to get up to a bit of mischief. Kevin is shocked when he hears a robotic voice talking to him from the transmitter and is perplexed when he’s given orders to retrieve some instructions from inside Jem’s bra!

At The Dog, Kevin seeks out Jem and tries to fulfil his mission, but Carl is horrified to hear what he’s up to and throws him out. On his walk home, Doug’s approached by an attacker and hit over the head, he falls to the ground, unconscious. Elsewhere, Dom’s miffed at Carl’s plans to offer burgers at The Dog and decides they need to raise their game at Relish.


Wednesday 15th September 2010
(Episode 2908)

As Jem nurses Doug after his attack, he reveals that he didn’t get a glimpse of his attacker. She decides to confront Carl and accuses him of attacking Doug. Carl refuses to defend himself and claims he’s hurt that Jem would think that of him; is she wrong? Carl offers Jem his forgiveness and opens his arms to his daughter. Jamil and India emerge sheepishly from the bedroom only to discover they’ve been burgled and a huge row kicks off.

Amidst all the arguing about the burglary, Jamil sits happily, delighted that he’s lost his virginity! Elsewhere, Ravi takes matters into his own hands at Relish and tells Dom about his new promotional idea. When Leanne learns that Jem’s kissed Doug as well, she’s unable to hide her jealousy. She sees Lee texting Amy and is clearly put out; can she have her cake and eat it too?


Thursday 16th September 2010
(Episode 2909)

Leanne storms off to The Cheek gig at Chez Chez, where she finds Doug to rant to about Lee, before moving in for a kiss. Amy takes to the stage and proves a hit, especially to her number one fan, Lee. She’s grateful for his support and thanks him with a kiss. A drunken Leanne leans in to kiss Doug again, but he doesn’t reciprocate and tells her to go home to Lee. Not knowing what Lee’s been up to, an embarrassed Leanne runs off home, what has she done?

As Kevin sits in silence, everyone wonders what’s wrong with him. Darren tries to get through to him and eventually he relents. Kevin breaks down, his whole worlds falling apart at the seams. Meanwhile, Charlotte congratulates India on her conquest, but she’s worried about having to let Jamil down gently. At The Cheek gig Charlotte catches Doug dealing drugs and deciding she wants a new experience, enquires about a discounted price. He agrees, as long as she keeps her mouth shut.

As the night wears on Charlotte’s determined to carry on partying and heads off into the night with Jamil. Doug runs out into the village and is horrified to see Charlotte and Jamil on top of the arch. Charlotte larks around and pretends to fall, but she loses her balance and disappears over the edge. As Charlotte’s life hangs in the balance, Doug is left to contemplate what he’s done to his friend.


Friday 17th September 2010
(Episode 2910)

Doug tortures himself by flashing back to Charlotte falling off the arch and being wheeled into A&E. Doug debates whether to take some cocaine to distract him from his thoughts. The students find Doug’s bag full of coke and realise he robbed the halls. Jamil goes looking for him and finds him convulsing – he has overdosed!

Lee and Leanne both think back to their respective extra-curricular snogs (Amy and Doug) but say nothing. The couple keep quiet as the students compare notes on their crazy evenings. In the gents’, Lee confides in Darren who advises him to tell Leanne the truth. Elsewhere, India and Texas fret about Charlotte. The sisters both know she’s not in a good way and their fears are confirmed when the hospital phones.
