(Episode 4981)
Rachel and Tony discover Miles has been bashed on the beach and rush him to hospital. After an exam and some painkillers, he's cleared – his injuries aren't too bad. But he has no idea who could've done this to him. When being interviewed by Watson, the only person they can think of that could be responsible is Ian Radcliffe. Watson agrees to look into the situation, but finds that Ian has an alibi. Romeo runs into VJ at the Diner and senses something is up with the boy, getting VJ to admit he knows who bashed Miles. He tells them it was Riley Radcliffe and his friends, they swore to get Miles. Miles is thrown by the revelation that a bunch of 12 year olds beat him up. He visits Riley, and when he sees Riley's sneakers, realizes he really was the one who beat him up.
Nicole has her last HSC exam today and she's looking forward to being finished with school and the muck-up day that comes with it. At the end of her exam, she's met by an adoring Liam at the Diner with flowers. But she's given no time to enjoy the moment, as she's informed that Miles has been bashed. Upon seeing him, she wants to be there for him, wanting to blow off the muck-up day party. But Miles won't let her, he insists she go. On her way to the party, she runs across Aden, and the two bury their differences, only to be attacked with water pistols, by students on muck-up day. Aden and Nicole then share a light moment on the beach where Aden picks up Nicole and drops her into the water. Later, still soaking wet, they finally talk about what's been going on – realizing much of their anger with each other is tied to Belle.
There's no love lost between new housemates Liam and Aden. Liam is planning a special dinner for Nicole that night, and he wants Aden out of the house. Liam's looking forward to it, and when his student hits on him during a lesson, he's quick to shoot her down – he's seeing someone and she matters to him – a conversation that Aden overhears. But Liam is unable to contact Nicole all day, he keeps leaving messages and she doesn't call him back. Dinner prepared, he waits for hours in the candlelit house, only to discover Aden and Nicole coming home together, having spent the afternoon together. Liam is left upset – is this how she treats him?

(Episode 4982)
Having made a romantic, special dinner to celebrate Nicole finishing her exams, Liam is angry with Nicole for blowing him off to spend time with Aden. She tries to explain that her phone broke, but he's not interested, he's too angry. Nicole makes breakfast for him to apologize, and discovers his plan was to sleep with her last night. Nicole confesses to Ruby that she doesn't feel ready to sleep with Liam, which she tells Liam later, something he accepts, albeit begrudgingly. He is reluctant to spend time with Nicole, frustrated by the lack of physicality in their relationship, leaving Nicole to spend time with Aden, which she enjoys.
Geoff is still looking for a job and though he and Ruby are both desperate to sleep together, they are unable to find the right moment. Ruby tells Nicole she's desperate to do it, but she isn't sure Geoff's ready. This is confirmed when Geoff talks with Aden – but Aden tells him he's being an idiot – why wouldn't he do it? When Geoff and Ruby get together that night they both confess they're ready to sleep together, but just before they're able to get to it, Irene arrives home. Just as Irene gets home Angelo drops in to tell her that the charges against Donna de Bono have been dropped and she has been released.
Miles is still spun out by the assault on him – he tells Leah that Riley denied being involved. Charlie is forced to question Miles about speaking to Riley, and takes him to the Station, where Ian confronts him – accusing him of assaulting his son and fracturing his wrist. Charlie doesn't believe that Miles did it. She thinks Ian is up to something, so she questions Riley about the situation. But just as he's about to open up, Ian arrives home and squashes their conversation. Without any evidence to the contrary, Charlie has to charge Miles with assault. And to top it off, after being charged, Miles is hit with the news that he's being stood down from his job at school.

(Episode 4983)
Martha, Hugo and Bambang are starting to look like more of a family out on the farm. Bambang is having a wonderful time with Martha and Hugo, planting seeds, watering vegies – it's all very relaxed as they joke with each other. But Hugo is hiding his plane ticket to Indonesia from Martha, along with the promise he made to Suzy that he would return. When Hugo spots a figure in the trees, he quickly ushers Martha and Bambang inside, telling her he thinks they're being watched.
Hugo goes out at night to see who it is, suspecting it's Suzy, only to discover it's the Police. While Hugo is away from the house, Martha discovers the plane ticket in a drawer and is stumped – what is Hugo up to?
Irene is still processing the news that Donna DeBono has been released from gaol, when she's hit with the revelation that Miles has been charged with the assault on Riley Radcliffe. Irene arrives home to discover Donna waiting for her, desperate to talk. She needs Irene's help, but Irene is sceptical. Donna is a mess, gaol has taken it's toll on her, she's sorry for everything she did to Irene, everything she put her through, but Irene still isn't sure if she believes her. Geoff and Ruby tell Irene that while she was out, they caught Donna drinking. But Irene is surprisingly compassionate, she understands where Donna's at, and is willing to cut her some slack.
Charlie and Angelo are frustrated by the release of Donna DeBono – it means they have to go back to the start of their investigation. While Charlie is still convinced that Donna killed Lou, Angelo is looking into other alternatives. When Irene comes in and tells them Donna is at her place, they are both wary – it doesn't make sense for Donna to come back, to want to find Lou's killer if she's guilty. This new revelation makes Charlie accept Angelo's theory that it's possible Donna might not have killed Lou.

(Episode 4984)
After finding the plane ticket to Indonesia, Martha wants to know if Hugo is going back with Suzy. He assures her he's not, he only agreed to it to get Suzy off his back. But the news that it's the Police who are watching the house is unsettling for Martha – she wants answers, so she confronts them, but they won't tell her anything. The last thing she wants is for Bambang to be in danger, so she's immediately worried. Hugo later tells her that he has sold his half of the business in Indonesia to Suzy – he wants to start a new life with Martha, with no ties to the old one.
Xavier is juggling Rosie and Ali – and he can't seem to get up the courage to end his relationship with either of them. Encounters with each of them lead to the same result – each girl thinks Xavier wants to be with them. When Ali turns up during Xavier's dinner with John and Gina, he wastes no time in inviting her to stay, only to have Rosie turn up as well, which leads to an uncomfortable situation at the table. The girls start having a go at each other, each fighting for Xavier, until Ali runs out, distressed when Xavier won't choose between them. Both girls now know Xavier has been intimate with the other and it doesn't look good for him.
Gina is very wary of Xavier's attitude to her relationship with John, but she tries to make it work by inviting John over for dinner. She wants Xavier to see John isn't all bad, but Xavier isn't interested, until Gina gives him no choice: he has to be at dinner. Xavier does everything he can to sabotage the evening, including allowing Rosie and Ali to join them in an attempt to ruin the night, which it does. The girls fight over Xavier, but John takes it all in his stride, and isn't phased. Xavier snaps at the end of the night, telling Gina he just wants John to leave, but Gina throws it back at him: tough, John's staying the night. Xavier is left horrified.

(Episode 4985)
Miles is very down over the prospect of going to trial for Riley's assault, and when Ian confronts him about the situation, he gets in Miles' face telling him to plead guilty. When Miles refuses, Ian promises that Miles will pay for what he did. Compounding his guilt over the issue is Leah's decision to move VJ to another school because the bullying still hasn't stopped. Miles searches for a way to get the truth out of Riley, but he can't find one. When he finds out the Coastal News is writing a story about the case, it makes Miles concerned: that could be the final straw that could end his teaching career. Miles goes to Ian to ask for him to kill the article and Ian drops a bombshell: he wants ten grand to make it all go away.
Gina is disappointed the dinner with Xavier and John went so poorly, but John is philosophical: they will wear Xavier down, he will accept them. John is quite taken by Gina, a fact he can't hide from Colleen when he goes to the Diner. Gina speaks with Xavier, asking him to give John a chance, but Xavier doesn't want to. When Colleen mentions how taken with Gina, John is, it gives Xavier pause, but when he sees John at the Gym helping out, he loses it, going off at Tony for letting John into the family. Tony asks for an explanation, and Xavier confesses his anger with John is tied to his father leaving – he doesn't want to see his mom go through that pain again.
Tony is struggling with the debts of the gym, people are cancelling memberships – he's not sure how long it will be viable for. Rachel offers to help by taking more shifts at the Hospital, but Tony tells her they need to be realistic: if the gym's not able to stand alone, they may have to sell it. Upon learning of Tony's difficulties, Gina comes up with an idea, and enlists John to help. Initially wary of accepting help from him, Tony is forced to realize it may be his only option to save the gym from closure.
