Monday 22nd March 2010
(Episode 5031)

Elijah has revealed to Miles that he’s holding a secret which could devastate Leah and complicate his romantic feelings towards her. With his confusion escalating, Elijah makes the decision to leave Summer Bay, thinking it’s best for everyone. Leah has picked up Elijah’s awkwardness around her and can tell he’s distancing himself. Leah begs Miles for more information about Elijah’s state of mind but Miles thinks it’s best to keep his mouth shut. Regardless, Miles still feels caught in the middle of it all and Rabbit offers to help him out. He goes along with Rabbit’s plan and phones both Leah and Elijah to come to dinner at his place. When Elijah and Leah arrive they see that Miles has left a note asking them to meet in one of the caravans. They get to the caravan and once inside, the door slams behind them and they realise they’ve been locked in. Was this Rabbit’s plan?

When Liam offers to make dinner, Martha finds herself getting upset at him once more. Liam reiterates that friends don’t talk to each other the way she’s talking to him. Liam makes it clear he wants her to decide exactly what she wants out of their friendship. Martha is full of confusion over why she’s acting the way she is. Leaning to Alf for advice, he reveals to Martha that perhaps she jumped into a relationship too soon after Hugo. All she is certain of is that she doesn’t want to lose Liam’s friendship. Martha soon seeks Liam out at school offering to help him look for a new car to buy. Liam is happy she’s offered but is hoping not to encounter any big personality shifts from her again. She promises that won’t happen and reassures him that she’s serious about building their friendship.

Charlie is downloading to Leah, trying to work out how she feels about Angelo and their decision to be friends again. She certainly doesn’t want him pulling away from her completely. Ultimately Charlie decides to go with the flow. But when Angelo asks Charlie out to dinner she fumbles through an excuse, leaving him very disappointed. Later Charlie admits to Leah that she panicked and all she wanted to do when Angelo asked her out was to pack her bags. Charlie soon realises she needs to find out a bit more about who she is. Leah presents her with the option of counselling and Charlie bites the bullet, she’s going to get help.


Tuesday 23rd March 2010
(Episode 5032)

Locked inside the caravan and still hiding their true feelings for each other, Leah takes the chance to ask Elijah more about himself. Feeling the strain of harbouring a secret that will affect Leah, Elijah doesn’t reveal much of himself. Leah digs deeper and asks about his romantic past with Elijah telling her he’s been on his own since becoming a Reverend. Meanwhile, Miles is at home perplexed that both Leah and Elijah haven’t shown up for dinner. Rabbit reveals that Leah may have left a message for Miles on his phone and Miles soon discovers that Leah and Elijah have been locked in a van all this time. Opening the door to the caravan, Miles apologises profusely for not having found them sooner. Leah wonders why Miles left them a note telling them to meet him in the caravan. Miles stumbles through an excuse, knowing Rabbit had something to do with it. Later on, Elijah comes to see Miles to let him know he’s decided against leaving town. But when Leah arrives Elijah makes a quick exit. With pressure building and secrets everywhere, Miles reveals to Leah that he accidently told Elijah that Leah has feelings for him. Leah is completely floored and horrified that Miles could do such a thing.

Nicole is thrilled to be starting her internship soon and talks a lot about what sort of designs she hopes to be showing her mentor, Britt Hobart. Romeo steps in with a more realistic view, suggesting to Nicole that maybe she’ll be performing more administrative tasks before she gets into the designing side of things. Nicole knows she wasn’t picked to be an office slave. But before Nicole has even reached the front door of Britt Hobart’s studio she gets a phone call from Britt, asking her to do a coffee run. Was Romeo right?

Having been sick and off school for a while, Romeo hasn’t had the chance to catch up with Annie and she’s clearly missing him being around. But as soon as she spots him at school the flirting ensues. Miles announces to them both that auditions are being held for the school play. Romeo turns up to the auditions only to find that the play he’ll be auditioning for with Annie is none other than Romeo & Juliet – the ultimate love story.


Wednesday 24th March 2010
(Episode 5033)

Annie auditions for the play, giving a brilliant performance. Romeo however gives less of a performance when he stands on stage. Once home, Romeo tells Alf what a terrible job he did. Alf brings up something Romeo hadn’t thought of – if Romeo doesn’t get the part he’ll have to handle watching another boy kiss Annie on stage. When Annie and Romeo check the notice board at lunchtime, they are thrilled to both find out they each got the lead parts in the play. Romeo is less pleased to discover he is in fact playing the part of Juliet while Annie is playing the part of Romeo.

With his divorce now finalised, John is feeling like a free man and the first thing on his list is to ask Gina Austin out. With Gina unsure of John’s intentions, she avoids him until she can’t avoid him any longer and agrees to go out with him. At the first chance he gets, John tells Gina just how interested he is in her, which clarifies this is in fact a first date. After the date Gina invites John in for coffee, quickly finding herself in his arms and kissing passionately.

Martha and Liam head out to purchase a new car for Liam. Martha has convinced him he needs her there so he doesn’t buy another lemon. Cruising around car yards all day, Liam is taking advice from Martha about how to buy a car without giving away the fact that you’re too interested in purchasing. When the question arises about what Liam is looking for in a car, talk subtly turns to what Liam is looking for generally in life, with Martha knowing she’s a part of that answer. With their friendship back on track, Martha notes what a great time she had. Liam notes the same thing, which is why he wants to move out. This shocks Martha but the last thing Liam wants is to ruin their friendship once more.

Tony has announced his idea about teaching kids how to box at Summer Bay High – but it’s met with a cold reception from Gina who doesn’t feel comfortable about promoting violence within the school. There are too many risks as far as she’s concerned which quickly puts an end to Tony’s plan.


Thursday 25th March 2010
(Episode 5034)

Xavier gets a rude shock when he arrives home to find his mother and John Palmer together, quickly getting dressed. Xavier gives Gina the silent treatment as she tries desperately to talk to him about what happened. John isn’t sure now where he stands with Gina, feeling that he’s partly to blame. Gina reassures John that she doesn’t regret the night before. Even though Rachel delivers a pep talk to Xavier and he approaches Gina and apologises, it’s an empty apology as Xavier soon finds himself at the Surf Club confronting John. With venom in his words Xavier tells him to stay away from his mum.

Miles is trying desperately to work out a way to make up with Leah after their fight. He decides to go and see her and beg for forgiveness. But once Miles confronts Leah, the reception is cold as Leah tells him just how much Miles has hurt her. Leah wonders how she can ever go to JiuJitsu classes again and get her confidence back. She tells him to stay away for good. Soon enough Leah realises how harsh she was towards Miles, feeling like she took all her frustrations out on him. No sooner are the two reunited, when Miles lets out one more secret telling Leah that Elijah likes her too.

Meanwhile, Nicole struggles to keep up with the demand of coffee orders from her mentor Britt Hobart. She has realised that her big break into the fashion world isn’t so big after all. When Aden tells Nicole that she can’t expect too much in her first week, Nicole is quick to agree that she needs to be more patient but is still hoping to talk to Britt about it. When Nicole offers to help Britt with the designs she’s behind in, Britt tells her she’s sweet and asks if she wants to grab some lunch. But Nicole has got the wrong end of the stick once more, and it’s clear Britt actually meant for Nicole to fetch her some lunch. At the end of the day when Aden asks how things went when Nicole approached Britt about doing more design work, feeling humiliated Nicole lies telling him everything went fine.


Friday 26th March 2010
(Episode 5035)

A newcomer to the Bay, Justin walks along the road bloodied and wounded and with no memory of how he got there. Driving down the road at the same time is none other than Marilyn Fisher – heading back to the Bay. Marilyn soon looks up to see a figure of a man standing on the road. She swerves the car and hits the brakes and as she looks back she sees Justin. On the drive to the hospital, Marilyn fires some questions at Justin, none of which he can answer as he barely knows how he got there. Once at the hospital something sparks Justin’s memory and he remembers his name – it’s Justin Jefferies and here’s to see his brother – Aden.

Charlie is talking to Ruby about starting her therapy sessions. Charlie is sure that talking through her problems and bringing up old issues is probably going to make her feel worse. She is nervous about her first appointment and almost backs out until Ruby talks her back into it. Angelo begins to get suspicious when Charlie starts making secret appointments with her counsellor without telling Angelo where she’s going.

Xavier is still finding it very difficult to get past the fact that he saw his mum and John together. Xavier tells Ruby that his mum is going to kill him when she finds out Xavier threatened John. Ruby and Xavier decide to skip school for the day and avoid his mum altogether. Not wanting to go back home, Xavier soon finds himself asking Martha if he can come and live at the farm with her.
