(Episode 5046)

Gina is furious to discover Xavier boxing with Tony. This sparks an idea for Xavier - if his mum is so opposed to boxing, maybe he could try blackmailing her, telling her he won’t box as long he doesn’t have to deal with John coming around to their house. Gina downloads to Rachel about how she really feels about boxing – it’s a violent sport and she doesn’t want it anywhere near her son. But after her chat with Rachel, Gina has realised that she can’t fight fire with fire. Gina tells Xavier he can box on the condition that he comes back home to live and she won’t have John come over any more. Xavier agrees.

Having tried to kiss Liam and been rejected, Martha is trying to smooth things over with him but Liam is struggling to keep up with her swinging moods. When Liam finds Martha alone and crying, he becomes very concerned. When Tony drops Xavier off at the farm, he can tell Martha is desperate for him to stay for dinner. When he questions her about this, wondering if she’s feeling lonely, Martha becomes very upset again. Tony assumes it has something to do with Liam but Martha quickly recovers herself which concerns Tony – what is it that’s making Martha so up and down at the moment? When Tony talks to Rachel they both come to the conclusion that perhaps Martha isn’t over Hugo.

Marilyn continues to struggle with her dreams about one little girl in particular. Meanwhile Miles is still convinced Rabbit is the one spray painting the caravan park. Having seen Miles being the one to spray paint the vans, Marilyn is awkward around him. She decides to gently bring up the subject, asking if he’s interested in the art of graffiti. But Miles doesn’t give over anything – leaving Marilyn unsure if he’s lying or genuinely unaware of what he’s doing. Marilyn soon catches Miles seemingly talking to someone who isn’t there. But it’s not until Marilyn sees a drawing of a little girl on the fridge, that she really starts to believe what’s she’s dreaming is in fact, real. Miles obviously knows this little girl, so why won’t he admit it?

Tuesday 13th April 2010
(Episode 5047)

With the drawing of the little girl in her hand, Marilyn questions Miles asking where it came from. With very few answers, a concerned Marilyn goes to Alf for help, telling him that on top of everything else she saw Miles graffiting. Miles scrubs graffiti off one of the vans with Rabbit helping. But when Marilyn and Alf round the corner, Alf is shocked to find Miles standing at a caravan talking to himself.

Leah talks up Elijah to Irene and its clear Leah is impressed by this new man in her life. Leah wonders if she’ll be introduced to his work colleagues and feels as nervous as she would be meeting his family. But with Elijah harbouring the secret that Vinnie is dead, he’s finding it near impossible to play happy families with Leah and VJ. Especially considering his romantic relationship with Leah is moving forward.

Romeo and Annie continue their flirting while rehearsing for the play. When they find the theatre closed for maintenance one afternoon, Romeo decides to break in, that way they can have the theatre all to themselves. Annie is hesitant but Romeo wants her to trust him. She does and finds herself breaking rules just to be with him.

Martha talks to Alf about her problems with Liam. She admits she doesn’t want to lose the friendship. After talking to Liam it seems like he is happy to continue the friendship. Alf meanwhile is torn apart by the secret he is keeping form her – Hugo is still alive.

Wednesday 14th April 2010
(Episode 5048)

After seeing Miles talking to no one, Alf and Marilyn approach him asking who he was talking to. Miles is scrambling for a decent explanation, insisting he was simply talking to himself and it’s completely normal. Off the back of Rabbit’s advice, Miles soon comes clean, telling Alf and Marilyn that he is in fact talking to someone – the ghost of his dead daughter Amber, also known as Rabbit. Miles explains further that after the Christmas Party he woke up on the beach and standing there was Rabbit.

Alf is determined to put a stop to this and calls Rachel hoping she can talk sense. Rachel comes over but her chat with Miles yields little success. Miles stands firm saying Rabbit is real to him and no amount of drugs or therapy is going to change that.

Romeo and Annie continue rehearsals in the closed theatre. When talk turns to Romeo’s background the subject of his sister Mink comes up and Annie wants to know more. Romeo reveals that Mink went to prison for killing their step dad. But she was innocent. Romeo tells Annie how guilty he felt at running away from his family when they needed him most.

With Romeo now talking about his past, he is pulled into the memory and Annie helps him move through it. With both of them realising their bond is strong and it’s going to be hard if they’re torn apart once more.

Rachel tells Justin the hospital received the blood tests back from the lab. Rachel explains that the blood found on Justin’s shirt belonged to his father, Larry Jefferies. When Aden comes home he insists it can’t be their dad’s blood, saying that he spoke to their dad yesterday. But it’s all a lie and Aden is simply covering for Justin so he doesn’t end up in jail. One phone call to the prison, tells Aden that Larry is no longer in jail and he was paroled. But Larry hasn’t seen his parole officer or checked in with anyone.

They soon discover that Justin was the one who signed Larry out, but still suffering from temporary amnesia, Justin prays he didn’t do anything to their dad. The boys decide to go out to the crash sight to see if they can find any clues. Justin and Aden find the one thing they didn’t want to find – the body of their dead father.

Thursday 15th April 2010
(Episode 5049)

Justin and Aden are panicking having just found their fathers body at the accident site. Justin is now seriously considering the possibility that he may have killed his own father. Justin desperately wants to tell the police but Aden has other ideas. Aden has tried to kill dad once before and it’s not going to look good if Justin confesses now. For Aden there is only one solution – bury their father’s body, and bury the problem.

Once they arrive home after the ordeal, Justin is in panic mode while Aden is the voice of reason, directing Justin as to what to do next. With nightmares circling, Justin is tortured both while he’s awake and asleep. The brothers’ worst fears are realised when they get a call from Charlie asking to meet them at the police station. While at the station, Charlie tells them that Larry has been released but hasn’t checked in with his parole officer. The boys lie and tell them they haven’t seen him. But with cuts all over the boys’ hands, Charlie and Angelo’s suspicions are raised.

Angelo struggles with adjusting to life without Charlie as his girlfriend. When Angelo seeks advice from Elijah, the tables are turned and Elijah ends up seeking advice from Angelo instead. Angelo’s advice to Elijah is to tell his secret and be honest.

Leah is thrilled that VJ likes Elijah so much. VJ and Elijah play soccer on the beach and when VJ starts talking about his dad, who he believes is in heaven, Elijah’s guilt surfaces once more with the weight of the secret he carries. Before things get even more serious with Leah, Elijah has decided to tell her his big secret.

As they walk along the beach Elijah tells Leah that a few months back he was called out to a local hospital where a man had been in an accident. When the man was confessing he talked about his wife and son. Soon after, the man died – that man was Vinnie, Leah’s ex husband. Leah is floored at the loss of Vinnie again. Unfortunately VJ has heard the whole thing and realises now that he’s been lied to by his mum - he was told his father was dead but he was alive this whole time. And now that he’s gone, VJ will never get the chance to say goodbye properly.

Friday 16th April 2010
(Episode 5050)

Leah chases after VJ trying to explain why she kept such a big secret from him. All this time VJ thought his father was dead and now he finds out he was alive. VJ is beyond upset as Leah tells him she had no choice, she had to keep it a secret. VJ soon accepts what she’s saying and announces that he wants to speak to Elijah about his dad’s last moments. During their discussion, Elijah explains to VJ, among other things, that his dad thought about him all the time which brings small relief to VJ.

Although Elijah and Leah are still as strong as ever, Elijah feels like he’s let her down and he shouldn’t have carried the secret around for so long. With that, Elijah decides to spend some time away from Leah, much to her disappointment. But he can barely stay away as he rushes to the diner and straight into her arms.

Xavier is working out a way of getting the box of money back from Martha’s house and he’s enlisted Ruby’s help. Ruby also suggests getting some details from Colleen about good hiding spots in the bay once they have the money back. When they arrive for dinner at Martha’s place, Ruby gets to work distracting Martha while Xavier moves into the hallway where the manhole and the money are. When Xavier comes back into the room, the colour has drained from his face – the money’s gone.

Ruby and Xavier are desperately trying to work out whether Martha knows about the missing money and it’s clear she does when she approaches Xavier with the box, asking if this is what he’s looking for. Martha is well aware of what’s inside as Xavier explains that it was an inheritance left by Hugo. Xavier explains further that Hugo asked him to do something good with the money. Now knowing the money belonged to Hugo, Martha promises not to reveal anything to Gina.

Colleen’s wide knowledge of the bay and secret hiding places sees Xavier and Ruby head straight for an old WW2 Battery. Xavier is shocked to discover that in a hiding spot is a picture of him and Hugo along with a new loaf of bread. Xavier tries to piece everything together realising that someone has stayed there recently, someone who has possession of this photo?
