Aden is explaining to Charlie that he panicked when he found his father’s body – everyone would think Justin killed him. Charlie queries why then, did Justin admit to killing his father. Both stories aren’t adding up. Charlie and Angelo are very suspicious and bring up the obvious fact that Justin arrived in town just as Larry goes missing. Angelo tells Aden that even if he doesn’t confess, the police have enough to charge Justin and him anyway. After being questioned by Charlie, Aden insists he didn’t kill Larry. And neither did Justin. But they are placed into a corner; if they don’t come clean the police will charge them both with murder. Nicole begs to know what’s going having been kept in the dark about all of it. Aden soon explains everything to Nicole. She wants him to go back to the police and tell them the truth, but Aden is adamant and he is standing behind is brother.
Miles is devastated at being suspended from teaching and feeling very unsupported by Gina, even knowing that she’s a principal and has to do what’s right. Martha wonders if Miles’ counsellor will exonerate him. Miles thinks he is less of a person without the teaching – what will he do now? Miles soon tells Martha he has worked out a way to get around the problem of him being suspended and take back control of his life – he will just quit!
Meanwhile Alf downloads his concerns to Angelo – does Angelo really think Hugo would contact Martha? Alf has growing concern for Martha and hopes Hugo stays away, especially considering Martha doesn’t even know Hugo’s alive. When Martha questions why Alf was talking to Angelo on the beach, he tries to cover and her suspicions grow. Alf tells Angelo it’s getting much harder to lie to Martha about Hugo. Angelo explains that as long as they keep covering, there is nothing at all to worry about. Angelo puts a stop to Alf’s questions by telling Alf it’s a police matter. This as Martha suddenly is beside them both looking stormy and demanding to know what’s going on. She is adamant she has a right to know considering she’s involved – and she did just hear her name.

Romeo is having strange dreams about people leaving and it all comes down to one thing – the question of will Annie leave him? Romeo and Annie are struggling in the rehearsals. Knowing that Annie hasn’t yet decided whether she’s staying or going, everything’s up in the air and Romeo isn’t sure what to think. Annie and Romeo are doing a terrible job on stage. Annie’s looming decision is holding them both back. The director, Mel wonders why they are holding back when their characters are meant to be in love. Mel tells them their performance doesn’t cut it. They are given an exercise to get them back into character. The exercise leads them back into a more romantic state – something they were hoping to avoid.
Xavier is wondering why Romeo hasn’t simply asked Annie whether she’s going or not. Romeo is adamant that Annie will tell him when she’s good and ready. Meanwhile Ruby asks Annie why she hasn’t told Romeo – and he says the reason is he hasn’t asked. Before the play starts Romeo confronts Annie, wondering if she’s made the decision to stay, but they’re interrupted and she wishes him luck. Romeo has to get through the whole play not knowing if Annie will be his by the end of it.
Ruby is nervous about her stage performance tonight. At the same time she’s very excited. Ruby and Liam are rehearsing her song when she hits a wrong note, she’s nervous and it’s all catching up with her. Liam says she can use those nerves to get a better performance. Ruby isn’t so sure.
Put on the spot, Angelo tells Martha that the reason him and Alf were talking about Hugo was because they have reason to believe Hugo stashed money somewhere before he died. Even though this is a diversion from Hugo, they are very close to the truth. Martha asks if there’s anything else they are keeping from her? Alf lies and say - no there isn’t. Martha apologies to Alf for being so mean to him earlier and thinking he was keeping secrets from her. Angelo goes in to work, upset at the fact that Alf is finding it hard to keep the secret from Martha from Martha, Charlie queries – what secret? This is when Angelo tells Charlie straight out - Hugo is still alive. Charlie thinks that Hugo’s family should know that he’s alive and escaped witness protection, especially if they’re in danger. It has been approved by head office so no one’s saying anything, says Angelo. Charlie decides to keep Angelo’s secret.
Miles talks to Elijah about quitting. Miles knows he was suspended because he believes in Rabbit – but what’s wrong with that, he wonders? Elijah believes in God and everyone respects him for it. Elijah wants to confirm that Miles is in fact quitting his job and throwing it all in, to prove that what he believes is real. Elijah also wonders why Miles won’t ask any of his friends for help with his problem with Rabbit.

Ruby is still nervous about the play and realises her nerves are because she will be performing on stage, alone. With Ruby rushing to the bathroom with nerves, Liam asks Xavier how she is but Annie is still in the bathroom with her – will Ruby go on stage at all? Xavier begs Liam to tell Ruby if he thinks she’s not ready to sing in front of an audience. Don’t let her make a fool of herself. Liam says he won’t. Ruby has come out of the bathroom and decided to go on stage and is dealing with her nerves as she stands backstage. Everyone is nervous for Ruby who is on stage about to sing, she has an attack of stage fright until Liam, who has been watching in the wings, makes his way on stage with his guitar, joining her. Giving her the support she needs, she sings with confidence and gives a great performance.
Romeo tells Annie she looks gorgeous, just before she’s about to go on and perform. Romeo and Annie get lots of laughs from the crowd as they perform and for a moment they can forget the issue of Annie possibly leaving. But when it gets to an emotional scene in the play, where Romeo in character, asks Annie’s character if they shall ever meet again, Annie gets upset and she’s looking at Romeo as she sheds a tear. At the end, Romeo finally asks Annie – are you going back to Japan? She says yes, and I leave tomorrow morning. They both agree the perfect romance has ended in perfect tragedy – just like the Shakespeare play they were performing.
When Rabbit asks Miles for a game of chess, he wonders again if she’s real – how can he play a game with someone who doesn’t exists? Everything’s’ gone haywire since she came into his life. In a heated moment Miles asks Rabbit to leave him alone. And Rabbit is gone. Miles soon realises the error he’s made and he goes calling out for Rabbit. Irene and Alf are both concerned that Miles didn’t look himself at the play. Elijah is also concerned, telling Leah that Miles has been suspended. Leah asks why, which is when Elijah starts to tell her all about Rabbit. Miles has come over to Leah’s house to talk to Elijah and Leah – he announces that Rabbit sometimes tells him the future. He then warns them both that they have to stay away from cows or horses, which is what Rabbit has told him. Rabbit’s premonitions have a habit of coming true. Look out for school kids as well, says Miles.

Miles tells Rabbit that even though he’s warned Elijah and Leah they still think he’s a nutcase. Rachel explains that until Miles asks for their help there’s nothing else they can do. Leah comes over to see Miles, telling him he needs to get help. But Miles refuses. Leah thinks if anyone can help Miles then Elijah can. When they are over visiting, Rabbit tells Miles she can prove her existence to Leah and Elijah.
Elijah says it’s a deal and asks Rabbit what kind of spirit she is. Rabbit says she will show herself and then he’ll know but why should she appear just because Elijah wants her to? God doesn’t work like that. Rabbit’s not willing to provide proof of her existence. Elijah believes that Miles believes in Rabbit – his faith is real and that’s all that matters. His final question to Miles is – have you put faith in the right entity – is Rabbit worth the trouble?
Tony gets worried about how much he is being hassled by John Palmer. He tells Rachel if John gets wind of his boxing project, John will sabotage his kids boxing idea. Tony knows he shouldn’t let him get under his skin. Rachel tells Leah that she and Gina are sick of being in the middle of Tony and John’s arguments all the time. But Leah thinks Rachel should join forces with Gina. Gina tells Rachel she thinks they should stay out of Tony and John’s problems. But Gina finally agrees to talk to John and get him to be nice to Tony. But that doesn’t work because Tony and John go head to head and decide to battle their problems out in a boxing ring – best of three rounds.
John tells Gina that he often sees Tony training but Xavier isn’t with him. Gina isn’t impressed. It’s then that John reveals that Xavier recently hired a locker to store all his boxing gear. Gina pulls up at this and wonders what on earth Xavier would have to store away in his locker. If he hasn’t been doing much training – why would he need a locker? Gina bites the bullet and decides to go and to see what Xavier has stored in his locker. Gina and John open his locker and find all of Xavier’s money – almost $100,000.

Rachel is furious that Tony has agreed to a boxing match with John. Tony insists it was a mutual decision. Rachel knows there’s a big difference between wanting to teach kids boxing and wanting to beat someone up out of spite. Rachel isn’t talking to Tony until he decides against boxing with John.
Gina and John are still reeling from the shock of finding Xavier’s hidden money in the gym locker. Gina is grilling Xavier, wanting to know where the money came from. Before answering Xavier indicates his fury at John for letting Gina through his locker and his private things. With Martha being a witness to it all, she tells Xavier to tell Gina the truth – which indicates to Gina that Martha’s known about the money all along and didn’t say anything. Martha tells Gina the money was Hugo’s and he left it to Xavier. Once Xavier’s gone, Gina questions Martha. Martha reasons with her – she felt that Xavier and Hugo had something special and didn’t want to give away Xavier’s secret.
Gina insists it is dirty money that should have been turned over to the cops. Martha tells Gina she should be more concerned with the fact that Xavier didn’t come to her with any of this. Xavier tells his mum that giving the money to the cops isn’t going to fix the fact that it’s dirty money. Gina wonders what she should do with the money but Martha thinks the gift was given to Xavier – he should decide. Hugo trusted him enough to do the right thing with it.
Xavier tells Martha that he has formed a theory that Hugo’s still alive. He thinks the cops faked Hugo’s death and he’s in witness protection. Martha thinks its something Xavier wants to believe rather than something that’s actually true. Then Xavier reveals to Martha that he found a photo of him and Hugo out at the old Battery. Along with it was a fresh loaf of bread. Martha tries to make sense of all of this. Martha is at her emotional end – she misses Hugo so much as she confides to Alf. Alf is overwhelmed with guilt and decides finally to tell Martha the truth.
Nicole goes to Charlie about how much trouble Aden’s in. Nicole begs for Charlie to give him a chance but Charlie insists she can’t talk about the case with Nicole. Charlie doesn’t want Aden in trouble either but a man’s been killed. Nicole pleads with Charlie – she loves Aden she can’t lose him now. Charlie soon calls Justin and Aden into the police station. She tells the brothers that the prosecutor has enough evidence to upgrade the charges for both of them - conspiracy to commit murder. Aden is pushing for Justin to remember something to get them out of this mess. Justin suddenly remembers what happened, will the truth set Aden and Justin free?
