Monday 7th June 2010
(Episode 5086)

Killer has abducted Martha, Xavier and Gina, and wants to trade them for Hugo. Hugo sets out to meet him to trade himself, but Tony insists on going with him. Hugo isn’t sure what he can do to fix the situation, other than hand himself over. Tony thinks they must be able to do something more than that – Hugo can’t just hand himself over. Hugo is angry with himself for coming back – he brought all this trouble, he's the cause of the problems. He and Tony try and come up with a plan, but they can't think of anything and arrive at the exchange. Will they go through with it?

Ruby can’t believe how Xavier has been acting, getting angry with Liam is just plain wrong. But Nicole wants her to admit she has a crush on Liam. Ruby refuses – there is nothing going on. She apologises to Liam for the way Xavier was behaving, but he insists on telling Gina everything. The way Ruby's talking, Nicole thinks she's putting her relationship with Xavier on the line because of her crush. She eventually admits she likes Liam.

After having a chat with Alf, Liam goes to tell Ruby that they should call their music partnership off. However moved by her guilt for all the angst, Ruby gets there first admitting her drama is too big a price for their collaboration. Seeing her sincerity Liam convinces Ruby, and himself, that as long as they keep things professional their music partnership can continue. Ruby is delighted but Liam can’t help regret the words a little as soon as they come out of his mouth. Has he just made a big mistake?

After coming clean to each other about their feelings, Charlie and Angelo are flirting and agree to go out to dinner together. But they don't get a chance to, as they're called by Rachel, who gives them a version of what's happened – that Tony has gone out to meet the kidnapper. Charlie finds the story strange and Angelo is convinced Hugo was there – he must be with Tony, it's the only thing that makes sense. Rachel is worried for Tony and hopes he makes it back okay.


Tuesday 8th June 2010
(Episode 5087)

Charlie and Angelo head out to the exchange location, desperate to save Tony and also with the firm belief that Hugo is with him. They hurry, but are gripped by the fear they may be too late. The rain makes it difficult for them to make progress – they can barely see anything.

Martha, Gina and Xavier are tied up inside a water tank and, with the rain falling down, the tank is filling up. They struggle to free themselves and Gina starts to panic. But Martha and Xavier work together to keep her calm. Eventually Xavier gets himself and then the others free from the ropes and they climb out of the water tank just as Hugo arrives.

Tony and Hugo are in a stand off with Killer – Tony doesn't know how long they can stay in a stand off. Killer isn't to be messed with. Hugo thinks he's a dead man if he goes over but he doesn't have much choice. Eventually Hugo drives the car straight at Killer and knocks him unconscious. A fight ensues and eventually Tony and Hugo get the upper hand.

Jill tries to get back with John but he's not that interested. She convinces him to have a juice with her. When Miles sees Jill with John, he can't believe her. Miles tells her she should be thinking of Romeo but Jill quickly tells him that he's in no position to lecture her. Jill feels bad that she has ruined John's relationship with Gina – she's sorry. And she genuinely means it. They head back to John's place, enjoying each other's company. They are continuing their night together at his place – dancing to some music and relaxing. John is in need of the distraction and Jill is good company.


Wednesday 9th June 2010
(Episode 5088)

Romeo is embarrassed when he learns that Jill had a go at Miles. He turns to Irene for advice, who tells him that Jill will need to hit rock bottom before she makes any changes. Jill arrives at the house, looking for Romeo, but only finds Irene and Miles. They try to be gentle but Jill's denial of her problems gets to Irene, who unloads on her and tells her what she's doing to herself and to Romeo isn't fair.

Alf almost loses it when Marilyn tells him that she's told Colleen they already got married. He admonishes her and insists she set the record straight with Colleen. Colleen is outraged by the news about Alf and Marilyn and her ranting to Irene and Leah gets to them – they tell her the truth and Colleen is completely miffed. She's going to make them pay. Colleen continues the lie, telling Marilyn she wants her to be part of the family, she's arranged a venue for a reception with all their family and friends, with her own money. Marilyn and Alf know they're in a mess now.

John has hidden Jill in the spare room and then lets Gina in, they talk about what has really been troubling Gina with regards to the Hugo matter and john and Gina both come around almost to the stage where Gina wants to stay the night John is forced to cut the situation short and gets rid of a confused Gina.


Thursday 10th June 2010
(Episode 5089)

Jill is insulted by Irene's judgement and feels everyone is doing the same thing – the only person who's nice to her is John Palmer. Irene is worried that she was too harsh with Jill – her message was the right one, but it will only work if Jill was ready to hear it. If she wasn't, then she will have only made things worse.

John tells Jill he can't see her until he knows what's going on with Gina. She tries to talk John around, but he lays it out – until she works out her problems, he doesn't want to see her. Jill confronts Miles – she's being victimised, how dare Irene speak to her like that? Miles tells her she's not – she needs to get help. Simple as that. He implores her to do it for Romeo. Will Jill finally admit she needs hep?

Romeo gets down on himself – he tells Miles and Irene he's not sure if he has the strength to convince Jill to change. Liam discovers Romeo crying in an empty classroom. Romeo confides in Liam about Jill, and Liam tries to talk Romeo through it – addiction is a tough thing – and it's not Romeo's burden. It's up to Jill. He can't live her life for her. After school, Jill goes to Romeo and hugs him, admitting that she has a problem and will deal with it. He invites her over for dinner, to which Miles agrees.

Elijah's parents' arrival is imminent – they're going to stay at the rectory with him, which is okay with Leah. But when Elijah tells her that the rectory has a leak, Leah offers for his parents to stay with them, but Elijah says no. He calls them and cancels. He loses his phone, only to discover that Leah took it and called his mother, and arranged for his parents to stay with them.

Marilyn is being shadowed by Colleen, who is continuing her lie about the reception and it's driving Marilyn insane. Marilyn wants Alf to help break the truth to Colleen but he refuses – this is Marilyn's mess, she can get out of it. With difficulty, she tells Colleen the truth, to which Colleen informs her that she already knew. Marilyn is floored and Colleen gently reminds her that she shouldn't mess with her.

When Liam confides in Martha about his dealings with Ruby, Alf notices a friendship reformed and suggests that Martha ask Liam to move in with her at the farm house when Hugo leaves. However Martha admits she’s thinking of selling the farm. Alf asks her not to rush into anything after her ordeal but Martha tells Liam that she feels it’s the right thing to do. Liam believes Martha’s instincts are worth listening to.


Friday 11th June 2010
(Episode 5090)

Xavier has enjoyed having Hugo around, but he's worried – he doesn't want him to go to prison. Xavier wants to know if Hugo is taking Martha with him when he goes, but Hugo says no, it's too dangerous. Alf is reeling after Martha's announcement that she has signed the farm over to him and she's leaving the Bay, with or without Hugo. Xavier tells Hugo Martha loves him, she'll want to go with him, but Hugo doesn't agree. Martha arrives and tells Hugo he has 24 hours to decide whether she's going with him – after that she's gone anyway. Hugo tells her not to give up the farm, but Martha refuses.

Detective Eaves arrives from the city to investigate Killer and take him back to the city. He interviews Martha, and listening in the other room, Hugo recognizes his voice as the guy he paid off when he was people smuggling. He's worried for Martha as Eaves grills her. When Eaves returns to the station, there's a shot and Angelo runs in to find Killer dead and Eaves wounded.

Ruby thinks Xavier is avoiding her and she doesn't know what to do, especially in light of her feelings for Liam. Ruby asks Irene for advice; she's at a total loss over what to do about Xavier. Ruby confronts him, confessing that she does have feelings for Liam, but nothing is going on. He couldn't care and breaks up with her. Nicole tries to comfort Ruby – she is sad about how it ended, she wanted to stay friends. Nicole advises Xavier to be sure he wants to lose Ruby as a friend, because she doesn't. He is left with food for thought.

Elijah tries to warn Leah about all the ways his mother will try to trap her, but she's not worried. She thinks everything will be fine. He gives her a do's and don'ts list and as much as Leah teases, Elijah is being very serious. But when Lijuan arrives, Leah is taken aback to find her to be a little Chinese lady, and someone who is nothing but sweet, wrapping Leah in a bear hug when they meet. Elijah can only be sympathetic
