Monday 14th June 2010

Charlie is interviewing Eaves about his motive for shooting “Killer”. But the only thing on Eaves’ mind is getting out to the farm to catch his long lost rival, Hugo. Eaves uses the guise of a police investigation to get himself out to the farm to see Hugo. Knowing that Hugo and Martha will be in trouble, Angelo tells Eaves he has to wait at the station until getting the all clear from the psychologist, considering Eaves just shot someone.
Meanwhile out at the farm, Martha is begging Hugo not to go anywhere, but it’s the only way he can save himself and Martha – he can’t be a sitting duck to Eaves or Angelo. Angelo calls Martha who confirms how ‘bad’ Eaves is. She tells Angelo what Hugo said - Eaves won’t hesitate killing someone else. Angelo lets Charlie in on the news that Hugo is most likely out at the farm with Martha.
Charlie heads over to the farm to find Hugo but also warn Martha and Hugo about Eaves. When she arrives Martha refuses to reveal his whereabouts considering Eaves might want Hugo dead. Charlie insists Hugo is safer with the police than without them and Hugo eventually confronts Charlie who cuffs him.
Leah is finally meeting Elijah’s parents who are both big personalities, the biggest being his mum, Lijuan as she’s a woman in control of every situation. Lijuan has brought her own tea and the constant bickering between her and Song puts Leah on edge. But soon the parents fall head over heels for Leah and admit they’re very glad their son has chosen her.
After Colleen’s insensitive comments about Alf being too old to go out with Marilyn and Marilyn not being good enough for Alf, both Alf and Marilyn are more than a little self conscious and decide to actually go out on a date.

As the four sit down to a dinner, Tony and Rachel ask how they are and both Gina and Xavier put on a brave face. Rachel takes it one step further, wondering if Hugo will come anywhere near the Bay. Rachel believes that while Hugo’s still here, everyone associated with him is at risk. Rachel goes so far as to say that Hugo should leave town before he does anymore damage. Rachel has growing concern for everyone’s safety especially Tony and Harry.
When Eaves and Angelo arrive at the farm house, there’s proof Angelo has been lying to Eaves as they spot Charlie’s car in the driveway. Eaves is now furious. There is a scuffle at the farm and someone is shot.
Apart from all the snoring they’re doing, Leah has growing concern for all Lijuan and Song’s fighting. She wonders to Elijah if they too will end up like that. Elijah is confident they won’t, his parents are one of a kind. Song puts Leah’s mind to rest, assuring her that his marriage of 35 years is still very solid and their love is very big.

Tony and Rachel speed towards the farm in the hope they can help. With no idea who is out at the farm and who is armed, Tony soon pulls over the car, unsure at whether he is willing to risk their lives to save Hugo. Tony and Rachel collectively decide to keep going as they continue to drive towards the farm house. Rachel goes inside while Tony looses himself in the night and eventually helps Angelo and Charlie overcome Eaves.
After heading back outside to find Eaves, Charlie soon has a gun pointed at her and at the other end of it is Eaves. First he gets the jump on them and eventually things are turned around and Eaves finally secured and brought into justice. As Angelo is transporting Hugo and Martha into town they get the jump on him and escape. Well that is the story that Angelo is sticking to. Will Hugo and Martha leave Summer bay together forever?
Ruby’s thoughts are firmly fixed on her romantic life and mostly Liam. All she can do is think about him. Nicole’s advice is to take a cold shower. Ruby heads off to see Irene and runs into Liam in the diner. She soon finds herself taking a moonlight walk along the beach with him. Ruby barely survives the walk as Liam’s singing is a bit too hot for her to handle. Ruby has a cold shower as Nicole suggests but it doesn’t work as Ruby realises her feelings for Liam are more than just physical and she can’t stop thinking about him. This as, Liam arrives hearing the last of Ruby’s confession to Nicole.

Ruby stands in front of Liam, rushing to make up an excuse for what he overheard her say – that she can’t stop thinking about him. Liam is clearly concerned and Nicole promises to explain everything to him later. When Nicole finally does catch up with Liam, she lies and tells him that Ruby meant that ‘she couldn’t stop thinking about his songs, because she doesn’t like them’ and Ruby doesn’t know how to tell him. Liam is left feeling terrible that Ruby doesn’t in fact like any of his songs, while Nicole is left just feeling terrible.
Liam soon approaches Ruby, wanting some answers. He is blown away when she confesses that everything Nicole said was a lie, to cover for the fact that she has a crush on him. Ruby and Liam soon make a deal, they’ll keep singing together and Ruby will keep things professional, the second Liam thinks it’s getting out of hand, they’ll stop. They both agree on this. But Ruby’s smile tells us that this is more than a professional relationship for her.
Irene presses Jill to consider an AA meeting especially if she’s decided to turn her life around. Jill is quick to change the topic when Romeo arrives, clearly Jill doesn’t want him knowing anything about her possible progress because it would only get his hopes up. But Romeo is quick to spot the AA card that Irene gave Jill and is thrilled and feeling like this is the beginning of things turning around with his mum. Having invited Jill to stay at Summer Bay House for a while, Miles is cooking her a special meal.
Friday 18th June 2010

Jill is running late for the dinner, Romeo heads out to find her only to find that she’s with John and they both look like they’ve been drinking - which is the last straw for Romeo. Not only is his mum ignoring a dinner invitation but she looks like she’s been drinking again.
Having spotted Romeo in the distance, Jill apologises for being late for dinner and assures him that both her and John weren’t drinking alcohol – only juices. Not only is Romeo furious at his mum, but he’s angry that she’s seeing someone like John, who’s supposed to be dating Gina. Jill insists she’s just trying to make friends and asks Romeo to apologise to John. Romeo begrudgingly apologises and invites John to join them for dinner at Jill’s request.
Tony and Rachel have come around to see Miles who invites them to stay for dinner. Before he knows it, he has a full party of people for his dinner including Jill and John Palmer. The room comes to a stand still when Jill brings John Palmer into the house. Tony is the least impressed of all because John is meant to be dating his sister. Tony and John decide to take their escalating conversation outside and their fight ensues and light punches are thrown. After their poor excuse for a fight, both men come back in the house and decide to head home – going their separate ways. As Jill nurses John they soon find themselves in a passionate embrace but when he wakes up next to her, John is immediately regretful.
Lijuan and Leah are battling it out in the kitchen as Lijuan forcefully takes over the cooking. Leah and Elijah soon make a quick exit to the diner, with Leah saying she has to work. Leah tells Elijah that even though she wanted to escape, she doesn’t think Lijuan is too hard to deal with. Elijah knows that his mum may only be taking over in the kitchen now, but soon she’ll be taking over their whole lives. Lijuan and Song soon arrive at the diner with some food, forcing Leah and Elijah to have a home cooked meal. Lijuan and Song are quick to realise they are placing a lot of pressure on Leah and Elijah which is when they decide to stay at hotel for the night. That idea doesn’t last long as Lijuan and Song come home early having had an argument with the hotel staff.
