Monday 20th September 2010
(Episode 5136)

Things are still tense with Tony and Rachel – Rachel is leaving for America soon and Tony as no intention of going. Rachel is thrilled that Tony’s son, Lucas has decided to come to the Bay. She’s hoping Lucas can convince Tony to move to America. But their problems run deep - Tony is disappointed that Rachel is prioritising her career over her family and Tony’s own career but for Rachel it’s a once in a lifetime chance. When Tony finds out that Lucas is coming to town, Tony misreads it as an intervention and isn’t happy.

Meanwhile Romeo is hoping he can live up to Indi’s expectations in their relationship. Romeo reveals the problem to a shocked Nicole – he’s a virgin. But when Indi finds out, she couldn’t care less. It doesn’t make a difference as to how she feels about him.

Marilyn is excited about her mystery date with Sid. But unfortunately Sid is told he has to work a few extra hours at work and enlists Dex’s help to get the picnic ready for Marilyn. But Dex has a different plan brewing - instead he tells Marilyn that the plan is for her and Dex to go on the picnic alone and wait for Sid to join them. Dex is soon enjoying a lovely picnic with Marilyn - but Marilyn starts to get curious and anxious wondering where Sid is.

Penn approaches Nicole on the beach and tries to apologies for how rude he was to her. Nicole listens to the story of Penn’s difficult past and decides to forgive him. She moves her hand in the sand where she is sitting and she is suddenly pricked by a discarded hypodermic needle.


Tuesday 21st September 2010
(Episode 5137)

In the hospital, Sid is testing Nicole for any possible illnesses she may have caught as a result of her needle stick injury. Nicole also asks to be tested for HIV. Penn is by Nicole’s side every step of the way at the hospital and she’s grateful for how reliable he is. Penn soon apologises to Sid for the comments he made about Nicole’s crush, but Sid is still distrusting of him. Nicole‘s tests soon come back negative and she’s clear of any illnesses. Sid tells her that HIV results will take months to come back. Nicole is devastated to realise she has to wait that long not knowing if she’s sick. We soon realise that all is not what it seems with Penn and he is the reason Nicole is in hospital.

Xavier asks April if it’s strange living with his ex girlfriend, Ruby. But April reassures him that everything’s fine. But everything’s not fine from where Ruby’s sitting. When Ruby decides against eating a meal Bianca has cooked for the household, April follows her to the Diner wondering to Ruby if she hates living with April and Bianca. Bianca is the problem but Ruby denies it. Ruby and April both agree to be friends.

With Dex on a picnic with Marilyn, Sid leaves yet another message for Dex to call him. Curious that Sid still hasn’t met up with them, Marilyn soon decides that her and Dex should head to the hospital to see where Sid is. Marilyn’s suspicions that Dex has a crush on her are confirmed when she checks her messages from Sid - there was no mention of Sid meeting them at the picnic and Marilyn soon realises that Dex set it all up so they could be alone.


Wednesday 22nd September 2010
(Episode 5138)

Tony is furious at Rachel for dragging Lucas into their problems and John suggests to Tony that he talk to Gina. When Lucas’ plane is grounded, Rachel realises Lucas can’t make it at all and now has no idea how to get through to Tony. Gina tells Tony he’s being childish and to listen to Rachel. Rachel suddenly has an epiphany and realises why Tony doesn’t want to leave – because he doesn’t want to leave the place that Jack lived in.

Rachel assures Tony they can both stay in Summer Bay. Tony is so thrilled by Rachel’s sacrifice that he decides to go with her to Boston – Rachel and Tony are preparing to leave the Bay.

When Alf mentions ‘marriage and Gina’ to John, John brushes it off. But John subtly starts quizzing Gina on her take on marriage. Even though she’s had a rough time in relationships, she wholeheartedly believes in marriage and John is pleased to hear it. But just why is he asking?

Rachel and Tony are preparing to leave and there is a flow of close friends and relatives giving them both their best wishes. They decide to visit Jack's headstone one last time and say goodbye to Jack and goodbye to summer bay.


Thursday 23rd September 2010
(Episode 5139)

Bianca and Liam are in a passionate embrace on the beach. The next thing that happens is Liam is being slapped by Bianca in the school corridor – and through a series of flashbacks we find out why. Gina questions both Liam and Bianca as to why the slap occurred and on school grounds. Bianca reveals she was engaged to a prince and he made her feel like a princess. Bianca was happy with the fairy tale set up until he cheated on her. So when Liam called Bianca a princess, she was filled with rage and slapped him.

As for the kiss between Liam and Bianca and how it happened – neither Bianca or Liam are sure. But when Bianca and Liam start talking about the kiss and how it happened, it fuels another argument. Gina soon punishes both Liam and Bianca by asking them to do inventory at the library after school together for the next two weeks.

Through a discussion with Alf, Angelo reveals that his family wouldn’t be proud of his new restaurant and there is some bad blood there. Angelo soon reveals to Charlie that his family consider him a failure. He tells the story of when he was younger and working in the family restaurant. A fire broke out and his parents blamed him for it. The business was meant to be Angelo’s but instead his family handed the business to Paulie, Angelo’s brother.


Friday 24th September 2010
(Episode 5140)

Summer Bay is flurry of nervousness after Nicole was pricked by a used needle on the beach. Charlie is scouring the beach with other officers for signs of any more hypodermic needles. Meanwhile people are praising Penn for being such a strong support for Nicole. John and Alf are very disappointed in Penn for calling the press who are covering the news on the needle stick injury.

John and Alf need to come up with a plan so that Summer Bay is once again put in a positive light. Angelo however, is enjoying being interviewed by the local press, and enjoying the opportunity to plug his own restaurant.

Ruby is trying to think of the best birthday present she can get Charlie, with a limit of thirty dollars. Ruby then approaches Indi about buying some alcohol from Angelo’s, she thinks it would make a good gift. Despite some reservations about selling alcohol to someone underage, Indi believes Ruby wants to give it as a gift agrees to sell Ruby the alcohol.

Liam is concerned for Ruby after her night of binge drinking. Ruby assures Liam that it was only one night. He soon decides to tell Charlie about Ruby’s drinking and Charlie approaches her daughter about it. Ruby promises it won’t happen again. But when Charlie sees Indi giving Ruby a bottle of alcohol, Charlie only thinks the worse – assuming it’s for Ruby.
