Monday 25th October 2010
(Episode 5161)

Miles is concerned about Alf's mood, but he can't get him to open up. He tries to see what's bothering him, and although it's clear something is, Alf refuses to let Miles in. He convinces Irene to talk to him, but even she can't get him to open up. At the end of the day, when Alf returns to his room, he discovers that Penn has broken in and planted pictures of Tulip everywhere.

John has embraced April's hybrid bus scheme and is moving forward with it, but Xavier is upset by it, aware April hasn't been completely truthful with John about it. He tries to convince April to come clean with John, but she doesn't want to. She thinks the scheme is a good idea, and that John will see that too. Gina smells something is up with Xavier, but he manages not to spill the beans to her. But the guilt overwhelms him and he gives April an ultimatum: either she tells John or he will. He can't handle this anymore. He tries to tell John the truth, but John reacts in a pig headed way, cutting Xavier off before he can say anything.

Bianca was unable to stop Vittorio from coming to the Bay, and Liam is bitter about it, thinking he's the second choice. Bianca isn't sure how she feels about Vittorio's visit, because she's not sure how she feels about him or Liam. Liam is also torn, not sure what to do about it, but he realizes he needs to talk to Bianca. They make their peace—neither want to keep fighting. But he tells her that she can't have it both ways, she will have to decide eventually. And until she does, he doesn't want to be around her.


Tuesday 26th October 2010
(Episode 5162)

Nicole presses Romeo to reveal whether he and Indi “did it”, but he tells her they didn't. They're in a really good place right now, and sex will come when it comes. But when seeing Romeo at school, Dex teases Indi, saying she's in love with Romeo, and she is immediately uncomfortable. Romeo tries to talk to her about it, but she brushes it aside, leaving him even more curious. Later, she admits the reason she got so uncomfortable was because she thinks she may love him a little bit. Romeo is left stunned.

Sid and Indi are worried about Dex—he's acting very normal, which for him is strange. Sid thinks the incident with Mitzy has really had an effect on him, and he decides to let Mitzy know exactly how he feels. After giving Mitzy an earful, Marilyn is upset with Sid. They had agreed that she would handle the situation, but Sid didn't feel Marilyn had done enough. Mitzy is well aware she stepped over the line. Marilyn is concerned to hear about Dex's problems and offers to talk with him. She helps him move past the issue with Mitzy, and the one he had with her.

Paulie has decided the only way to come up with the money to pay off his bookies is to go to the races and win it. Angelo doesn't like this plan, but they have little options. Paulie invites Nicole and Charlie to come with them, but Angelo is nervous about this, and makes sure they know nothing of the plan. Nicole, needing something to take her mind off her troubles, encourages Charlie to enter the Fashions in the Field competition with her. After winning on one race, Paulie wants to let it all ride again, and Angelo thinks this is ridiculous. He doesn't want to keep going.


Wednesday 27th October 2010
(Episode 5163)

After Indi has told him that she loves him, Romeo isn't sure what to do. He can't say it back, which Indi doesn't take well, and as much as she tries to assure him everything is okay, he just doesn't seem himself. Indi is worried about what this means, she can't eat, and the news that Sid has bought the farm for them to live is the last thing she cares about. She meets up with Romeo who tells her that she's moving way too fast for him, and the only option he has is for them to break up. Indi is completely heartbroken.

Mitzy tells Marilyn she thinks she's ruined everything by coming to the Bay—she's done everything wrong. But Marilyn assures her she's glad that Mitzy came. Mitzy wants to tell Marilyn something but decides the time isn't right, so she puts it off. A box arrives for Alf—it's the photos he took down from his room and threw out. Alf is shaken, clearly Penn is trying to drive him crazy.

At the races, Paulie can't believe his “let it ride” system has failed. He wants to keep trying, but Angelo refuses. While on the catwalk for Fashions on the Field, Charlie spots a pickpocket and chases him down, before finishing her walk on the runway. When Charlie discovers what Angelo and Paulie are actually doing at the track she's completely disgusted. Angelo can say nothing to talk her out of her anger. Angelo pulls the plug on the betting, much to Paulie's dismay. Charlie wins Fashions on the Field, but is in no mood to celebrate.


Thursday 28th October 2010
(Episode 5164)

Marilyn presses Mitzy to tell her whatever she has been waiting to say, but they keep being interrupted. When she finally does, it's to tell Marilyn what her real end date is. It's only a couple of months away and Marilyn is devastated. Mitzy tries to reassure her, tries to make it all okay, but Marilyn is too shell-shocked to talk about it. She just need some time. She goes to see Sid, and after some time together, she eventually tells him what's going on. Sid is angry that Mitzy has done this, telling Marilyn he thinks she's a bad person to have in her life.

Alf decides to tell Miles the full story about Tulip and what happened. How he had an affair with her over twenty years ago, who he believes was Penn's mother. It ended badly and Alf believes that this is the reason that Penn has come to Summer Bay.

Penn has had a progressive check up from Sid and is about to be released from hospital, through flashback, we learn more about Penn's past. He blames Alf for everything that's gone wrong in his life, which all started with Alf’s affair with Tulip.


Friday 29th October 2010
(Episode 5165)

Alf is plagued by nightmares about Tulip. Miles is surprised to hear about them, this isn't like Alf. Alf is sick of Penn messing with him, he wants to make it stop—he wants to talk to Penn. This worries Miles, but Alf assures him he'll keep it civil. Miles asks Irene to keep an eye on Alf, so he doesn't do anything stupid. But Alf isn't pleased when Irene comes to see him, figuring that Miles has sent her. He tells her story about Tulip to her but not about the affair. She thinks Alf should go to the Police about Penn, but he isn't so sure they can do anything.

Now that Bianca and Liam aren't seeing each other anymore, Liam is wary of too much contact with her—she's in love with Vittorio and he doesn't want to keep punishing himself. Bianca tries to keep things light, inviting him for lunch, but he's wary—what are they lunching as, friends, ex-lovers, colleagues? Bianca brushes this aside, not phased by which one he picks. He agrees to lunch. He asks her about Vittorio and she gives him a hint that things aren't all as they seem—she and Liam might still have a chance. He asks her to dinner and she accepts, and things really are looking up, until Vittorio arrives on Bianca's doorstep, and she doesn't know what to do.

John is pushing ahead with the hybrid bus project, and even though he wants to do the right thing, Xavier can't bring himself to tell John the truth about the plan. Xavier begs April to tell John the truth before John invests a stack of money he can't get back. But before they can do anything, they're interrupted by Gina, who has just overheard everything. And she can't believe it. She gives them a dressing down, unimpressed with their actions. She forces them to confess to John, but later, with Gina, it's revealed that he already knew. They plan on making the kids feel bad for a while before telling them the truth.
